No your not biased. Your abosolutley right. Paul Kelly, with out a doubt is a tha Captain of the 90's, agreed?

Well seeing as Carey lifted himself and his team to the finals i think it is Carey

Kelly was a great captain and an inspirational player...but Carey was better. Look at the 96 GF, not for the result, but for the leadership in a big game. Carey was a huge influence as a captain directing traffic and motivating his teammates. He was just at another level.

I cant believe that Jakovich wasnt given the credit he deserves if you think about it
1. His battles with Carey, you name me one player apart from Jakovich that you could say consistently had Carey's Measure?
2. 2 premierships, a couple of b&f, not to mention goalkeeper for Australia ;)
3. I think the fact that he played in WA, not in Victoria meant that a lot of the great players from the Wce werent given the credit they deserved, a lot of those players from that era of dominance (91-95) deserves to be in the Hall of fame

Its Carey , always will be Carey and for all those Robert Harvey supporters - YES premierships do matter and YES they mean more than brownlows and to dominate games means you have to win games and kick goals.

As your Paul Kelly as captain of the 90's - give me a break .

The greatness of a player\captain (especially a captain) is based on win\loss ratio and without silverware you're not getting my vote.

Scraggers will never get the same recognition, the fact they now outlaw the conduct perfected by the great backmen because its a blight on the game pretty much sums it all up. Silvagni was the best of the scraggers but he at least went forward and was just as good at the other end of the ground.
