Rubbish when it matters
Has literally had a very good game in a winning grand final, and a 25 possession (13 contested) /3 goal grand final in a losing one.
Wake up to yourself.

So 8 years ago? Poor record
Yeah. Good one.
Bradman made a duck too.
But no, because he had a quiet game in one final he’s getting criticised.
Correct
This.I thought while Nash did a great job on him if some of his team-mates hadn't made massive **** ups we would be talking about a 5m stretch where he kicked 2 goals and set up 2 more and pulled the dogs back into the game.
Probably why no one rates Wayne Carey.
His 1998 prelim and GF were so f**ken garbage after all. He’s probably even worse. He was in a top four team and had back to back chances to perform and could do it.
You obviously didn't notice the sarcasm font...Literally you're the only person that doesn't rate Wayne Carey
September pretender.
And that's it. A quiet game is fine but if you play 4 good minutes and it goes to the wire. Your a champion. He was an Aaron Naughton touch (Or even a free for holding) and a ridiculous inside 50 where the dogs played kicked it into Sicily's face rather then a Bont 1v1 from potentially being 20 touches 3 goalsThis.
Bontempelli came within a Naughton fingertip of getting two goals in the first 3 minutes of the 4th quarter.
At the opening of the fourth, the Doggies are 6.5 to Hawthorn 11.11. Bontempelli clears it from the centre and gets a quick goal.
Doggies 7.5.
Within two minutes, Bont is taking another shot on goal.
Had he got those two goals in three minutes, the Bulldogs would have closed the lead, with the scores at 8.5 to 11.11. The ball would end up in the centre square again, with the Doggies in momentum.
That's the kind of act by a club captain that can swing the momentum of a game and get a team to lift.
And 4 a goal deficit, with most of a quarter still to play is very doable for a team that has some momentum.
Unfortunately for the Dogs, that second shot on goal is touched on the line by Aaron Naughton.
Thanks to Naughton, what happened instead is the ball (after a couple of behinds to both teams) eventually ends up at the other end of the ground, where Ginnivan scores a goal.
The early momentum is lost.
So yeah, full credit to the Bont. There definitely were times where he nearly singlehandedly swung the momentum of the game, but was let down by his teammates.
Look at the pile on for the champion. Carries his team in most games and yet gets singled out when many of his teammates had stinkers.one poor game does not undo the countless excellent ones.
