I wouldn’t mind starting with those 3 though when it’s 0-0 and charge them with throwing down the gauntlet to the opposition.

It’s a bit risky with an inexperienced ruck in Sweet.

Whilst I think it’s good that he was dropped I would like to see Burton and Bergman swap roles. Bergman that high half back and Burton the wing that pushes forward. Won’t be as defensively exposed and can use his kicking which is his strength offensively.

I don’t think it’s that simple. The clearance isn’t always won by the team that gets first hands to the ball, sometimes there’s a tackle and the ball spills free for someone to swoop. We need someone to make that first tackle stick.

However if the ruck is clearly hitting to advantage continuously then what your saying could work, but if there’s a fumble or a awkward bounce in there, or a stray defenders hand, we could be cooked going the other way.

Then there’s also a player who might be blocking for one of our more explosive mids to run onto a loose ball… not sure who out of JHF, Rozee & Butters would be the best blocker.

Finally we might need to tag someone at CB if they are dominating.

I’m not saying they shouldn’t play those 3 together sometimes but need to be smart with it.

That said, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with trying it if we’re losing anyway.
