Do you actually believe that money can stop a criminal charge from proceding? Are you that stupid?

No conviction, you say. That means you cant call anyone a rapist.

Did you know I can call Bernie Vince a pornstar cavorting exhibitionist?

Absolutely. If you think otherwise you must that stupid.

I think you just stepped out of your depth. Of course money can stop a criminal case. All the victim has to do is not testify and there is no case. Why would the victim want to testify and relive the trauma in front of the alleged perpetrators. She can just go rebuild her shattered life and move forward.

OK I'll rephrase that.

Do you believe that once an alleged victim has made a signed accusation of a criminal offence that the alleged perpetrator can pay the victim to stop the criminal charge from proceeding?

(as suggested in the post by footy4ever that I quoted)

Are you guys really trying to push this whole "Burgoyne And Heuskes are definitely rapists" despite the fact that there was no charge or conviction? Based on some alleged "hush money" conspiracy theory? heck. And to think I got called out for calling one of you creeps pathetic and desperate. Get some new material...

Wait, now I get it. You're using this as material because after the offseason of lolz you have nothing else. Hahaha good one :thumbsu: You all should be so proud of yourselves

Something like only 1% of rape trials end in conviction, some absurdly low number anyway- mainly because it is one persons word against anothers with little evidence. It is not surprising that given the low conviction rate that the alleged victim would take a cash settlement to avoid taking it through court (guaranteed of some benefit), it is not surprising also given what the alleged rapists had to lose given their public standing that they would prefer to pay to make it all go away than to risk battling it out in the courts dragging their name through the mud. Of course with no conviction we can not call them "convicted rapists" but reading between the lines sure would suggest that there is a pretty reasonable likelihood that there was some foul play.

Sorry but I must correct your ignorance.

The victim does not get to "press charges" or "drop charges" against the perpetrator of a crime. The individual does not have the discretion or the power to bear the law enforcement powers of the state down on someone else, or to release the powers of the state. Individuals may make a report, but law enforcement alone makes the final decision.

And when 'pretty reasonable likelihood' becomes the standard of proof in a criminal trial, then accuse away. Until then, by calling any of the three players involved a 'rapist', not only are you showing your total desperation to deflect away from the Crows off-season that you're willing to use an alleged rape that allegedly happened over a decade ago as trollbait, but you're also breaking the law yourselves.

You got called out because you are a hypocrite. And calling Subaru a creep is a bit creepy isn't it?

Based on that then Simon Goodwin is a coke addled gambler and Mark Riccuito enjoys bestiality. No proof of this but if you read between the lines...

The victim does not have to testify. In these cases a victim has to positively ID the perpetrator under oath. No testimony no case.

Yet another idiot. Once any assault is reported to the police the alleged victim cannot "drop the charges". That is the prerogative of law enforcement only.

I have to lol at the large number of stupid crowies.

Show me my hypocrisy, I'd like to learn from my mistakes. If you can't, **** off.

Also, go back and re read the last couple of pages, you missed the bit where I explained my justification in labeling Subaru for what she is. Then untwist yo knickers

What do you think of Bernie Vince with his unit pressed hard up against a pornstar's clacker?

Where does that fit on your moral compass?

Lucky bastard.:(

Ignorance exposed again.

If the victim is subpoenaed to testify and the judge does not give them an exemption, they must testify.

Not saying that there was any evidence of the alleged rape & as it never went to trial therefore the alleged offenders must be given the benefit of the doubt.

That said then why was a large amount of money given to the young girl by the alleged offenders if not to buy her silence?

Must have worn some very expensive knickers that night in the parklands.

Your supporter base is full of front running pathetic desperate flogs. You know the types that talk the talk all preseason, then disappear when they start losing only to reappear next preseason. I read your justification, I chose to it ignore it because it was crap and conventienly let off your fellow flogs.

And today's hypocrisy, referring to Subaru, who by the way is female, as a creep and yet ignore the creeps in your own supporter base. C'mon you've read Assmans posts, you can't tell me they aren't a little creepy.

What has any of that got to do with me? Nothing. Now **** off.

There were dozens of Port regulars when I first started posting here......
They now all inhabit the Port board and only venture out occasionally following a "win" before scurrying back to the safety of Ford Fairlane and his red card fests.

I can honestly say that I'm one of those posters who can only stay here for limited periods as i get disgusted by how low some posters stoop at times to try to win or derail an arguement, and yes subie you are on who crosses the line (but you'd never have the courage to admit it).

The big question is can the crows fit in a few more offseason lolz in the last 11 days.

If they apply themselves I think they can.

He's out of his depth in a puddle
