I went for a coffee just after quarter time, had a good chat with Tabs and Logue, had a good chat dissecting the game with the guys that stand behind me every game. Saw Meek and Strnadica at 3 quarter time for the first time in person. Sat and watched the game for what was happening rather than the result. Was actually a nice day, the result aside.

What did they put in your coffee?

Did Tabs give any indication on how far away he is?

You definitely work for Frmantle

Guys, keep the thread actually positive thanks. Like positives you found from the game, how our players are going etc. Being shitter and further down the ladder for a higher draft pick is not a positive, especially if you're the 1000th poster to put it up, and it will get deleted.

I am of the opinion we would have won today had we had a full strength side.

That's great but we haven't had a full strength side at any stage for the better part of the decade. No team ever does. You've got to be good enough to win even when you don't have a full strength side.

Brayshaw wasn't as good as in previous weeks but again worked hard throughout the game both ways and was a consistent contributor.

Cerra's laser to walters... which walters dropped...

Apeness through another game, showing he could be a very strong contributor next year and through the next 6-8 years.

Bennell played well at Peel and played mid. We could see him for up to four games this year.

I absolutely love Sonny, but geez he was bad yesterday.
His stats look good, however that is about as bad as i have seen him play for a long time.

I think you have missed the point of a positivity thread.
I am of the opinion our full strength side, beats the lions full strength side. We were just unlucky with injuries yesterday.
But yeah, your point is valid, should be able to find a way to win even with injuries.

He had an absolutely shocking start to the game. I thought he did really well to get his head back in the game in that 2nd quarter. He makes some silly mistakes (I think mainly when he tries to over think things) but I can't fault his character. He unfortunately faded in the second half.

Thought Cerra was fantastic in that final quarter (was anybody else watching at that stage?). They moved him into the midfield and he started to have an impact. I'd personally have Cerra lining up in the middle from the first bounce next week (maybe Brayshaw at half back for a change?). I'm not sure what the reason is why Cerra hasn't spent more time in the middle already?

Mundy was good once he moved into the middle in the 4th as well. With Fyfe out he has to play that senior big body in the middle again. Not sure why the coaches didn't pull the trigger earlier with him yesterday either?

Brad Hill being back (and being able to help run the ball out of defence) probably means we can push his brother into the guts as well - he hasn't looked great at half back at all this season. Duman can come in and play that running half back role as well - he was very good at Peel.

As deflating as yesterday was we get to see Langdon and Brad Hill playing together next week. And most likely Darcy and Apeness as well!
