The possibility of Essendon innocence: a travesty of justice or conspiracy theory for the ages?

Then we get back our original picks where we choose Bont and Cripps :)

Nice try. Still in denial, hey?

A doping regime was put in place and overseen by Hird and Thompson. What a sorry period in Essendon’s history, one that players and supporters would rather see the back of for good.

And the last thing they need is a constant reminder from people who are simply clutching at straws by bringing up flawed conspiracy theories.

Just let it go.

In case you haven’t noticed it’s not just Carlton supporters that support the premise of my post.

I admire and respect your loyalty to your club, but my post wasn’t meant to be personal. Sorry if you took it that way.
The original post was tongue in cheek, the fact you took it to heart sums you up as a person.

**** me

The fact that their most talented player since James Hird is going to be at your mob in a few hours?

For massive unders too on what he'd be worth if they hadn't stuffed his rehab?
Get them all in quick RoRo

This thread will be page 6 tomorrow and you'll be back to irrelevancy for the next 6 months when your world shuts down for cricket season

Delusional post.

Injecting players and keeping no records (or destroying records) is, on its own, enough to justify all of the punishment plus more.

The reality is Hird thought he was on to some genius secret plan but he wasnt. He stuffed up big time. Accept it.

Not talking about the club, talking about the players

Regardless of what you think of the club, Hird, Robinson or Dank, the players have been utterly stitched up.

- pushed back against the program to get clarity that it was in line with wada
- interviewed with asada without the presence of legal counsel on the basis that the investigation was about Dank, not about them
- names smeared in the press through a coordinated leak of exaggerated information and often complete untruths
- banned from the 2013 finals series after a 14 win season
- twice cleared by Australian tribunals in 2014 and 2015
- banned again in 2016 by a Swiss court based on a ‘strands in a cable’ analogy that has no legal precedent
- Dank and Robinson suffer no penalties
- Abused (both them and their families including children) publicly in the streets for being drug cheats

A stitch up and a disgrace.

Fair enough go the club, fair enough go the people in charge, fair enough to the blokes who did this at cronulla, GCS, Essendon and probably Geelong, but the players don’t deserve this miscarriage of justice.
Well I actually felt sorry for the players who would have been under instruction. The hierarchy should be shot for what they did though.

Old mate Inspector Closeau who's come up with the latest startling info must of been in a coma when all this shit was sorted out years ago.

Lol now Channel 7 News is on the misinformation bandwagon with this.

They were saying it was on the WADA banned list but not on the ASADA banned list, which is complete horse shit.
It wasn't on anyone's banned list when the Bombers were using it and was only explicitly added to the WADA list in 2018.
It was however still banned all along due to it being covered by generic statements forbidding 'growth factors' and substances not approved for human therapeutic use - this is why the website said you have to check with ASADA directly. They really need to come out and explain this properly to stop the foamers misleading the public. This sort of false reporting is not fair on the players either, some of whom might attach some hope to this latest rehash.
