The John Butcher

A delicious porterhouse steak, cooked to perfection. You get one bite, then the waiter comes and grabs your plate away from you and scrapes the steak into the trash.

The Hinkley Zero-Five-One-Zero

A pizza where the pieces are fed to you sequentially. You are fed 5 pieces with glass shards and pubic hair, then the last piece is the best meatlovers you've had in a long time.

When you find a bit of vegetable on your meat lover's and complain, you're constantly reminded of how you many pubic hairs you had to pick out of your teeth under the previous management.

At the risk of upsetting the millenials, `The Precinct' is way too generic, and dare I say it Americanised for me, and just comes across as a lame attempt to attract more of the theatre goer type to the fold.
Sounds like an old Hill Street Blues episode with a cop station and jailhouse lockup out back.

Of topic, but in respect of new words becoming popularised, has anyone noticed that the word "cohort" is now making it's mark two or three times a night on news services, and even seen it in the paper a fair bit too. Had to look up the online dictionary to see that it just referred to a group with shared characteristics!!! o_O:(

Are we jumping at shadows here?

Isn't the whole building "the Port Club" and "the precinct" just one part of the upstairs of "the Port Club"?

P.s. if not and your from the club reading this. Read the room for once and go with this.

Bogans at the bottom, cashed up bogans upstairs moite.

It's a bit vanilla and nondescript and lacks bite. Something like The Gulag would cut through more.

Could be wrong but I thought downstairs was The Port Club, upstairs was the function room.

And then coming soon, up stairs The Precinct at Alberton, downstairs the museum?
