Another question

If you buy something that's tax deductible, do you get all money back or just part?
How does it work eactly

Tax deductible means you can deduct it from your taxable income.

You pay tax on your taxable income - say 40c per dollar for an easy example.

Because the item you bought (say a $100 donation to charity as an example) is tax deductible, you don't pay tax ($40) on that $100.

That means you keep that $40 in your pocket or, more accurately, the $100 donation only actually cost you $60.

Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm no expert...

Ah ok thanks guys :thumbsu:

So if I am not earning enough to pay tax (probably won't as I just started a job) then I won't be able to get any money back on deductions I make as I am not paying tax anyway?

If that's the case I won't be buying anything as a deduction haha

Are you supposed to put milo in before or after the milk? I tested both and came to the conclusion that I have been doing it the correct way forever, which is before.
Okay, last winter I went through a huge Milo phase and tested this out numerous numerous times.

The best way to do it, pour milo in, put a little bit of hot water to melt it, stir it so it properly melts and doesn't clump, THEN add in the milk, and mix it a little more.

But the clumpy bit is the best part

Milo, some milk, stir, more milk, stir, consume.

One of those I've never got it but feel too stupid to ask questions.

When people bemoan the fact that it rains after they have just washed their car are they doing it because...
1. The rain would have washed it for them?
2. The rain makes it dirty again?

When having it cold I put it in AFTER milk, when having it warm I put it in BEFORE milk with no added water and maybe a little sugar after warming process (microwave) has ended.
