Just got back into guitar again. Anyone got some good free resources that can basically teach me how to become pretty good?

At the moment I can play some tabs but that's about it. Still getting the hang of chords again.

What's the driving etiquette surrounding other drivers who are oblivious to the fact that their indicator is mistakenly on? I was just on Warrigal Rd attempting a u-turn and only one car was coming in the oncoming lane, but with the indicator on signalling it was turning left into the side-road right where I needed to make the turn. So I pulled out, thinking the driver would slow down to turn, but she tooted me as she sped past me. She then sat at the traffic lights, still with the blinker on, and proceeded to continue driving straight. Felt like giving her a beep to alert her, as you could tell some people were giving WTF looks.

Also, was at Subway this morning having some breakfast, the place is run by three Chinese kids. While I was sitting there, a lady came in and called for the manager, which was a girl who looked about 14. She tore strips off her, saying that the two young Chinese boys were talking non-english amongst themselves while making the lady's sandwich. She said it was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She went on for about 5 minutes, holding up customers. Does she have a valid leg to stand on here?

Would have told the bitch to make the sandwich herself.

Give her a light honk and point downwards if she looks at you in her mirror.

No. Genuinely don't understand people who get offended by hearing people speak another language.

Gave the whole 'this is my country, i should be hearing my native language instead of something foreign', plus said that she believed the boys were making fun of her. Which would've been understandable, because she was a total bitch.

So really, she's just a bigot.

Hope she's never in London during the summer months.

She's a racist bitch, exactly what this country is full of.

Does Karate really work?
I was speaking to a guy last night at a party who was saying he was close to being a black belt and all that. He was about my age (21) but was about 5'5" and had the body of a 12 year old girl. I reckon I could have taken him no problems (not that I'm looking to start a fight or anything).

I've never really seen anyone actually use their Karate abilities whatsoever. Don't see the point in learning it if you can't use it!

Judo on the other hand...

See this many times on the freeway- shits me to tears. People either dont use them when changing lanes, or sit in the ****ing lane with the stupid thing on, confusing absolutely everyone.

I have another traffic question- if you're travelling in the right hand lane, say on a road that is 60-80km/h, and a car coming out of a driveway pulls out into the left lane right beside you (always scares the shit out of me- especially if they accidently take the turn too wide, you will 100% collide with them), but say if I'm not paying attention to them and change into the left lane, hitting them- who's in the wrong? I'm assuming me, but still- you should wait for the traffic to completely clear imo.

Anyone entering a road from a road related area (i.e. shoulder/verge) or private land is required to give way to all traffic on that road, so if there's a collision they would be at fault for failure to give way.

However, if they have entered a spare lane and then you change lanes and hit them, you would be at fault for failure to give way when changing lanes.

My driving instructor taught me it was good practice not to turn into a lane unless the adjacent lane was clear (obviously except at low speeds) because of exactly the situation you described, as well as the possibility of side-swiping someone if you get it slightly wrong.
