Nice. Funny how many say it always rains in Melbourne. And maybe Hobart.

The Brisbane rain was over two days. The Melbourne rain is distributed evenly throughout the year. In Melbourne. Which, to be fair, makes it FEEL like it's much more rain.

Nice. Funny how many say it always rains in Melbourne. And maybe Hobart.

Melbourne and Hobart have no climatological dry period across the year, rainfall in summer is around the same mark as winter. The other six Australian capital cities all have an identifiable dry period. Melbourne also has a lot of rain days per year and is Australia's cloudiest capital city.

Both Melbourne and Hobart also have the least amount of sunshine hours per year out of all of Australia's capital cities which only further adds to the perception.
