No, you should just simly judge a Premiership team by how good they were when then won the games that won them the Premiership. Not exactly rocket science.

For those who watched Essendon play in 2000 - this was the distinct pattern.

They would obliterate the opposition in a quarter or so of dominant football. Whether that was the first, second, third or fourth quarters was merely a footnote. It was a matter of when, not if.

Within the normal limits of having to fit watching footy in around my lifestyle at the time, I saw all of it. Would have probably watched most of Essendon's matches. But I didn't keep a log book.
