Proof that SFA voters do indeed negotiate with terrorists, or is it that the voting of Ned_Flanders into the top 10 might actually have been well earned? Ima going with the latter, I don’t need any more throat-punches! The former rfctiger74 had recorded a 17th place finish in S27, but truly came to the fore this season, his involvement in match threads and media very entertaining. On top of this, he showed his softer side occasionally, with threads such as SFA and The Next Few Months, and also a more serious side with the expansion vote thread. Ned has developed a depth to his character that sees him record a career-best finish of 12th, and he should jump into the top 30 of all time, so well done him.

The highest-ranked rookie in this season’s awards is Dragon golden child serial_thrilla. Another product of the Tour game in Fremantle, thrilla joined the reigning premiers, and Dragons threads suddenly became a more fun place to be. The most prolific media performer of his class, he has proven to be an adept shooper and brought a different style to the league with the SerialStats series of threads. A top 10 finish by a rookie is rare air; to the best of my knowledge only BLERN in S25 and Cadaver in S26 have achieved this, so it probably augers well for the EKA on Friday, but for now, serial_thrilla can exalt in being ranked the 8th best poster currently in the league.

Wonders champion Elton Johns Wig has been an omnipresent force in the Sweet FA since S23, and this is his fifth appearance in the top 20, and his highest finish yet.
