Didnt particularly like the style of commentary for the 20/20, maybe just me though. ABC has it down perfectly.

I only have a problem with one commentator. There's no need to scream into the mic all the time. You can easily show excitement and energy without the need to scream.

Didn't reckon he was that bad, but somehow i think Jim was sort of taking over a bit more than Jonty.

Dont insult the Grybas name by mentioningClintonGrybas and Tony Shibecci in the same sentence.
No chance in hell that Tony Shibecci would even be a chance to commentate AFL on even Sen let alone 3AW.

When Clinton Grybas was at the MCG commentating on the AFL Tony Shibecci was also there ..telling people they had left their car lights on.
Oh and the very important task of telling people who had just sat through the quarter of footy what the score was of the game they had just watched for 30 mins .

Very funny point I have often thought it would be good to have quiet time at quarter and half time breaks at the mcg too much noise

Heard some of the cricket on SEN driving home from work then watched the rest on the tv.
I think the tests are better for radio the 20 20 games better off on tv too quick to be listening on radio for me.

just wanted to say what a great job mark allen has been doing on the run home this fortnight, as much as it pains me to say it he has actually made the ox bearable to listen to as they have great chemistry together, they just need to stop touching each other whenever the word GOLF is mentioned but other than that its been good

Just listening to SEN overnights, and Franka just caved in to an Indian caller. Franka that was soft as butter.

One thing I'm slightly disappointed in with the SEN hosts, is that not one of them have I heard criticise the Indian behaviour. Plenty of examples in the cricket forum.

I think Mark Fine is good, but not great, but he would have gone to town on the Indians for throwing stones.

Bubba Ray, for the record I worked at SEN for 3 1/2 years from its beginning in 2004 until July last year when I left to move to the States. I've followed this thread for a long time because I like to know people's opinions and when Steve popped up in here I thought I'd say hello. Forgive me for wasting 30 seconds of your reading time with my own desire to say hi to a mate I haven't seen in months. I know you don't give a crap about my life and rightly so, but your comment was directed to a bloke who still works at SEN and whose opinion a lot of people in this thread respect highly, and with good reason.

Steve, I'll email you later today, I'm about to head out to take a test for a licence to drive on the wrong side of the road!


And for anyone else who's interested...there's a lot of accurate assessments of various things in this thread but don't ask me to go into detail because SEN gave me a lot during the time I worked there and I'm not about to stick the knife into a place that that I have a lot of fond memories of.

Oh, and for those overnight listeners who remember...Billy's dud mix was one of mine thanks to whoever it was that made the youtube video for it.
