Anyways, Canoeing Slalom and you know why this event specifically. 13 competitors so we'll only have the Final. Everyone gets just the 1 go-through with the course and the best time gets the Gold Medal. Here's the order for the competitors.

TheInjuryFactory goes up first, hits Gate 5 and never seems to come back from the shaky start.

serial_thrilla is second, doesn't fare much better as they hit Gate 7 and only beat TIF by 0.036 seconds.

RPCB goes on a flying run, is looking to be the first to stay in the double-digits for time, but a choke late sees them hit Gates 21 and 22. Still ahead at this stage but it could've been way better.

Mrs Turbo takes it upon herself to show how it's done. She manages to go through the course cleanly and scores a sub-100 second time to sit easily in 1st place.

Scythe94, on the other hand, registers what is so far the slowest time and hits Gates 12 and 22. dogs105 hits Gate 18 but definitely fared better time wise to see them currently sit in 2nd place.

The next 4 competitors don't do so well in the rapids. Pie 4 Life almost beats Scythe94 for the worst time, hitting Gates 5 and 9, Bradesmaen and JyeDye both hit Gate 13 and post similiar times but neither time is good enough to break the Top 3 and neither is GWS Goose's time after hitting Gate 11.

So we have Mrs Turbo who is so far the only person to not hit a gate so far, dogs105 and RPCB still in medal contention with 3 more canoes to get through.

CountryLad's turn, they have a good start and is front of Mrs Turbo at the first split. They're getting through the course cleanly, still in front on time. There's no signs of slowing down here, they go through the last gate and CountryLad gets to the finish 0.08 seconds quicker than Mrs Turbo to sit in the Gold Medal placing. Can anyone do even better than that?

We can skip past Ed_Gein's attempt as it's another example of what not to do in this sport meaning we're at the last competitor in Pugsley.

Pugsley has a good start, it's good first split but not as good as CountryLad's. A bit of trouble now though, Pugsley has hit Gate No.9 so now they're in trouble of not medalling. The last split has them a little off first but they're getting a clean run through the gates now. Pugsley picks up speed at the end, will it be enough for a medal and YES IT IS! 0.013 seconds is the margin but Pugsley picks up the Bronze over dogs105.

Congratulations to CountryLad for winning the Canoeing Gold as well as Mrs Turbo for also having a clean run.
