How good was going to the movies. When was the last time anyone went

Soon they'll just be plugging cables in us and the movie will play in our heads
As Per holidays couple a weeks ago Caught John Wick 4 and F&F 10 the next day. Mindless bang, crash fantasy x 2 on the big screen - Terminal 21 Bangkok. Cost about $A12.50 per person.

Brian Cadd wrote the masterpiece Don't You Know It's Magic?
Think it was made into a TV commercial jingle.
Don't You Know It's Mazda?
I remember meeting Paul Kelly and discussing it.
He knew that Cadd wrote the song.
There some great musos in that pic

You are 100% right, salmon farming is a ******* disaster for the local environment. I’ve been fortunate to taste the wild salmon in British Columbia and the taste is incomparable (without the inbreeding and antibiotics)

Yeah I've had wild salmon in Vancouver. Tassie salmon tastes nothing like it and is getting worse. As for mass farming near me, just ask any fisherman what damage its done to the waterways? Like don;t eat the shellfish ....in southern Tasmania, what used to be pristine waters.

Check out the opposition from the east Coast of Tassie where the oyster leases are. Opposition from mainly fishermen, oyster lease owners etc.

Interesting story read a while ago.
Rickie Lee Jones wrote the song Horses.
Daryl Braithwaite has never acknowledged, not once, that she wrote it.
He pretends it's his own song.
These days, with streaming, singers mainly make money from live shows.
Be honest.

Inbreeding? Explain how that works.
I've already shot down the antibiotics as BS. But inbreeding is news.
Do you mean like cousins, brothers and sisters? What exactly is this inbreeding?

Going to the drive-in when I head up north.

Consume anything you want in the comfort of your car, massive screen, never miss hearing bits of the movie because you have a speaker inside a sealed car, but you also get the riot when everyone honks their horn during the best bits.

It's still a mystery to me why they disappeared so much, making a minor comeback now. :thumbsu:

Possible cause is runoff from terrestrial farming activities, cows, fertilizers etc releasing phosphates and nitrates into the estauries. These chemicals are nutrients for the aglae to rapidly grow, given the right water temperature. The aglal growth then starves the water of oxygen. No doubt the salmon farms also contribute but lets get some balance back into the argument hey?

From an era when Australian music could match it with anyone in the world.

I remember Cold Chisel playing at the Council Club Hotel in Preston in 1982, entry was $7. 1982, at their height they were doing the pub circuit!!

This country used to be the best in the world before it too was prostituted by the almighty f'kn dollar!!

Sure is, mate, know a few people taking the family here this weekend:

Cheap as, can even stay overnight and drive away in the morning.

Mostly gets by on food sales to stay afloat, so you're obliged to munch right out.
