Yeah if I moved to Hobart I'd probably choose South Hobart. Expensive these days though, can't get much for under a million bucks.

Fines are only if you drink after 8pm. Some of the parks you can drink til 10pm. Remember visiting Hobart with friends about 20 years ago and we got smashed in the parliament house park. Pub is a short walk and they let you take your pints into the park as long as you return the empties.
