I really hope the club doesn't part ways for our first pick for an uncontracted Docherty. Send Hampson plus our second rounder which is close to 28-30 for Melbourne's second rounder which is nearer to 20. Send that to Brisbane for Docherty.

We may be able to extract even more from Melbourne for Hammer, but I don't want to be too optimistic.

edit: Now that I reconsider, we are overpaying. We shall see what the club does.

As great as Eddie is, he's pretty much a stay at home forward whilst DT can play anywhere forward of centre.

They were trying to get Eddie to play through the middle more this year... just didnt seem to be working and he looked more comfortable as a stay at home small forward... even if he did look distracted at times this year.

Anyone else think Buckley is too damn stubborn and old-fashioned for his own good? It's like because he was the ultimate professional when he played he expects all his players to behave the same way.

MM clearly had a pretty laid back nature when it came to off-field behaviour, but he got the best out of his team week in, week out (especially the rat pack), and they loved him, and in turn it got them a premiership.

Now I'm all up for a coach wanting to make his mark and head in a new direction, but Buckley has waltzed in and upsetting the lot of them. And of course the general remark from Collingwood fans, Eddie and Bucks is "rarara if they don't wanna be here and do the work then they can heck orrff!" But the reality is these players have done the work thats why they are premiership players. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but do teams even impose drinking bans these days? During finals? Apart from Buckley?
