Richo was fine. Spoke with displeasure about Cotchin's free in front of goal in the last. He was genuinely against the free.
Other posters have covered my views, particularly Mastermind. The commentators seemed incapable of calling the game for more than 20 to 30 seconds, before waffling on with some rant and ignoring the action in front of them. I find it very distracting and have to turn the volume down. It's like 7 have hired the lot of them as special commentators.
Mind you, I found Foxtel's commentary really annoying for the Collingwood game, for exactly the same reason - nobody wanting to do anything so mundane as call the game. Dermot Brereton annoys me, as does Luke Darcy.

No I actually do. But I like when one of them is the weather radar and it's so small that the map could well of somewhere in Estonia. Or when they do that when the game is at Etihad with the roof on.

i appreciated Darcy's helpful commentary describing how a kick out on the full was actually a bad kick.
BT needs quality around him to shine......as there is no quality on the saturday night commentary team he has to carry the entire telecast himself. With all the money ch7 spend you would think they could do better. Or here is an idea stop paying every second afl player to do part time work with your coverage and go get some quality people.

I like BT's commentary.
He just lets himself down due to the fact that he clearly doesn't know who a whole heap of players are, and get's easily confused between similar looking players indicating he has no idea of player numbers etc.
Pretty bad when he's paid to commentate. Can definitely see how it irritates others.

This is due to their egos.
Their massive egos need constant stroking - they need to identify something in the play where they can then go and ramble and tell us something 'insightful'
a) Often they're pointing out the obvious
b) They go to a replay while the rest of the game continues.
Egotistical hacks - they think we tune in to listen to them go on and on and on. Just stfu and commentate.
Dermie is an egotistical w***er but occasionally he provides some good insight.
Dunstall is the other with Roos that's pretty good.
The rest are spuds.

Back when his style of colour - "the dukes!" - was fresh among a sea of seriousness (Lane, Quartermain, McAvaney, Morphett).
