Great list. I don't think lucas should be there but everyone else is good
I had to put a Don in (to make sure I was unbias), and he has been the most consistent.

Fair enough then, Essendon don't have much to choose fromI had to put a Don in (to make sure I was unbias), and he has been the most consistent.
There is no way Glass is better than Scarlett.
Judd was dominating until he got injured, alot of people forget that.
Seriously let's make the whole AA team Geelong playersFirst of all Mike Sheehan said Glass AND Scarlett were ahead of Rutten for All Australian, nothing about Glass being better. and Even it they did say Glass, the general consensus of people and not media, have Scarlett in there AA teams.
his numbers are ok but to be fair most people and that includes bulldog's fans have become more than aware of how selfish brad has become as a footballer.
Not sure how you can have Franklin at 30.
If he kicked straight he be leading the goalkicking by a mile...
Franklin has missed plenty but still has 62 in 19 games. He has been an electrifying matchwinner and clearly in the top 10 for this year.
Why do Geelong supporters get so indignant about this? Scarlett is a class act, absolutely no doubt, but it isn't just West Coast supporters that put Glass ahead of Scarlett. Even On the Couch the other night they mentioned Glass as probably being favourite for AA.
I will happily concede it is a VERY close contest between the two, but why do Geelong fans act like it's the dumbest thing they've ever heard whenever someone mentions it?
Peter Bell and Roger Hayden should be on it but otherwise not bad
I'm a cat supporter so will understand that people will see my view as biased, but:
I have Foxtel and have watched at least ten to twelve West Coast games. I have also been to watch them live a couple of times – most recently against Essendon at the Dome.
Glass has been as good if not better than Scarlett, playing one on one against his opponent. He has huge strength and nullifying ability and I would choose him before Scarlett one out against J. Brown in the goal square.
However, this is where Glass’s skills stop. On the rare occasion he creates play he seldom leaves the back line.
Scarlett not only stops his opponent but he gathers the ball, evades players and runs, bounces, creates through the midfield and even puts the ball inside fifty.
This is why I have Scarlett three places above Glass in my top 30. It is the fact that Scarlett has multiple dimensions to his game that sees him get the nod over Glass.
You may argue that he is not playing the traditional Full-Back position but I would disagree. Times have changed and rebound is now required from all defensive players, including the full-back.
Good postI'm going to print this off and frame it. You've hit the nail on the head.
These reasons are also why I've selected both in my Dream Team All Australian team. I have Glass, Scarlett and Egan as my three key defenders. Glass and Scarlett to play on the full-forward and third-forward, depending on the matchup. You'd think Glass on the gorilla and Scarlett on the other. Egan to play on the CHF (or typical 2nd forward).
They have different value to each team. We don't ask for Glass to run off his man because he's liable to concede more goals that way. Scarlett is extremely capable in this sense and his attacking play creates more opportunities than he concedes - despite the fact his man is never left alone on the rebound anyway it seems.
WC fans need to think of Scarlett the way they do Adam Hunter when he plays up field and takes advantage of the lesser fitness of his opponents. The main difference is that Scarlett is much more of a lockdown defender and doesn't kick the goals, but surely if the value of Hunter in top form can be appreciated, Scarlett deserves consideration too...
Good post
I have been critical of Glass all year, but am starting to come around. Either player deserves the Full back post this year, but if they put Scarlett at CHB I could be ok with that, considering his game consists more of rebounding the ball out of defence.
LOLSee...we can all get along.......
I think you underestimate how good a year this bloke is having.
