Stop internalising the commands of people who hate you. I have paused it for you at the key moments in the hope you come to your senses. Ball went through more comfortably then most think and did not reach its peak until well past the goals. You have to remember he was 5 metres out and thumped the ball. It only looked above the post when it was at its peak, which was well past the goals. Look where I have paused it as it passes the goals, the ball is obscured. Soccer fans would not cop this. They even got a whole Super league canned. The league treats AFL fans in general like peasants because they know they can. Most abusive administration-stakeholder relationship in all of sports.
That footage and your fantastic editing of it should be sent to the AFL or a media outlet and comment sought.
Sorry Grock but that decision was completely flawed and completely wrong. This footage shows clearly that the ball went between the posts and to overrule it on the footage they used in such a short timeframe is just a disgraceful decision that totally decided the outcome of an ELIMINATION FINAL. Just wrong on so many levels

The goal umpire got it right, i have no doubt after seeing the twitter video. The entire crowd in front of the camera celebrated because they too could see it was a goal.

Its unbelievable the afl would let a final be decided in this fashion.

I was at the game too and haven't looked at the footage I took

Its a f@@@n CIA ASIO GMcL AFL conspiracy.......they why do they hate us😥

Hang on let's have a look at how Daniher kicks the goal to win the game....6 Richmond players couldn't spoil it over the goal line to concede a point but not the lead. With 1:04 left who knows? we probably find 10 other ways to f&& up and lose.

Match fixing betting is never just winning or losing games. Its often reduced margins of winning. You need to have a game like basketball where the play and scoring are confined to controllable elements ~ a great but corrupt point guard.
RFC gets a lot of free kicks against and has for years. We've won flags with that style. But the 50m penalty? we've just gotta be better at how we spoil in marking contests. (Balta)
Gotta be better at icing games too.

But the ARC technology is a amateur joke. Shouldn't be overturning decisions . Unless proof of a ball hitting a goal post.

The ball went through the goal posts about 841mm down from the top of post and appeared to have 13mm of airspace between post and ball clear Goal.

For those who believe the ball went over the post Id suggest a brain scan could be a wise move as I think there maybe something going on thats not quite right .

Nope. I was convinced it was a goal UNTIL I saw the new footage. It clearly shows the ball going OVER the post. Which is a behind. Unfortunately, it was rhe right call.
u wearing the same glasses as when you made the little maurice junior call a few years ago? 😂

We beat Melbourne next weekend if they play like they did last night.

Still flat.
Doubtful.
Melbourne would kill us at the clearances. Especially without Prestia.
Brisbane hurt us there on Thurs and Melbs midfield is another level.

Brisbane will be brutalised next week.
Their run and gun game will be stopped by May, Lever and Gawn dropping back into the hole.

And they play on the MCG.

It's like those photos that show a young girl and an old woman, where you can see one or the other. I showed my wife the video and she thought the ball went in front of and over the top of the post, where I can see it goes behind the post, she couldn't be convinced it went behind the post, and she's a Tigers supporter too.

The club's have behind the goal footage right? Has that been released? Might provide more evidence and allow us to see the ball pass by the goal post on the goal side..

The shot we have taken from the crowd shows the ball disappearing behind the post. The behind the goal footage should show the post disappearing behind the ball..

Also very surprised no other crowd mobile footage has been found. These days it seems half the crowd whips their phone out when someone's lining up for an important goal.

they wouldve grown a 3rd leg against us like all teams that loose a game the week before do

The kick was clearly a behind. Players are very good judges of their own kicks and Lynch's reaction says it all. The goal umpire's request for a review suggests that he suspected that he had made the wrong call, and he had. However, the review was a farce. They had neither the time nor the camera angles required to make the call. It's just more evidence that the AFL is fundamentally corrupt. This issue could easily be resolved with upward-facing cameras at the top of each goalpost, but the AFL don't want that.

Have you read any of this thread? The ball disappeared behind the post.. Lynch said he lost the ball in the lights.

Lynch also was surprised that Andrews was 5 metres over the mark before the umpire had called play on. Yes the review was a farce, the on field umpiring was a farce and the AFL at the moment is a farce.

Here's something I've been wondering about, when we see those side on shots of where a player touches the ball as it crosses the goal line, and we hear that it must be past the padding as its considered to be part of the goal post, does that width (including the padding) go all the way to the top of the goal post?

No, it didn't. It went over the post. It's surprising that such an obvious fact can be so easily ignored.
Have you seen the video filmed from the stands? Watch it..

Just watched the reply, the ARC reviewed only footage once the ball had already past the post. You can tell from the twitter video that the ball past the post, not above it.

Also watching the footage again, Richmond supporters behind the goal were celebrating.

Interestingly the only other person who had a better view than the goal umpire is Daniel Rich. I'd like to know his honest opinion.
