After reading the Tallangatta league forum from all reports the Tallangatta coach isn't the most popular bloke out there at the moment and rates up there with the Wodonga Saints coach for abusing all and sundry so i'm not sure how he'd go down in the Upper Murray where locals don't appreciate being actually 'coached':rolleyes: M and P who are the Murray boys? Murray Magpies, Murray Crays or the Murray family???:D My personal opinion is Evan would be crazy to do the coaching gig again, winning only a couple of games in the last 3-4 seasons isn't doing his psyche or his players any good if there hearing the same voice and not getting any improved results. A new coach similar to a Bill Deery will bring fresh ideas and the 6-8 new players they need.:thumbsu:

and honestly who cares about about a rezzies rep side? if any of these players were any good they would be playing seniors. especially u weak corryong dogs. stop trying to chase some glory in the 2's and help out your club (evan) when they need you

Guys read the O&M, Hume and Tallangatta threads, they are not talking ressies team of the year, Corryong ressies players or other trivial rubbish, they are talking football, so to all those regular posters on here, i think we lift the level of this forum back up and ignore the other rubbish on here.

In saying that, for the sake of B/W this weekend, good to see Willow get off, even though he ran onto the ground for a fight? Does that technically count as 19 on the field, meaning the score gets wiped. (jokes lads) This weekend I expect Cudgy to account for B/W by 4 or 5 goals. Think the maggies will push them for 3/4 but you would think Cudgy would be a little bit too classy over 4 quarters, and utilise the home ground advantage. In the ressies, should be a cracker. If cudgy show the form of earlier in the year, one would think they would go in favourites, however, B/W have knocked off the important teams when needed, so I will say B/W by less than a kick.

As for the league medal this saturday night one would think voight should win, as there are less quality players in the side to take votes off him. If not a Bullioh player theres 3 or 4 so take your pick.
 
Well i finially get to use chopper69 instead of a few of my mates,who sometimes have got me in the shit[hey toecutter].
First of all i would like to thank everyone on here for the entertainment you guys have provided over the last few seasons especially TIGER Chucky4 etc.
This is my last season in the Upper Murray and iv'e had a great time at tumba,who will only get better now that the club has got Matt Molkinten back there next season and a great bunch of local kids to work with ,also some recruits in the pipe line already.Besides making the 2009 G,F. the next best thing was the friends i've made while coaching and the locals through-out the district what agreat bunch of people.
One of the biggest talking points on here are the facilities of each club.I understand where some guys are coming from but the only thing i'm going to say is look in your own back yard before you look into someone else's .
The only thing that i would like to see changed which can be implemented by the league is you must play at least 7 games to qualify for finals or bring back closing time for clearances say the first week of June this mite and i say mite stop clubs buying in 2-4 players that only have to play 3 games sorry one other thing bring back REP FOOTY .
I think cudgie could be to strong for B/W THIS week but Tiger if the club can get Ben Macklan focused on footy you mite be in with a chance.
CUDGIE by 9pts over B/W
C.REID an M.MOLKINTEN to tie for medal.

Well done on a fine coaching career in the Upper Murray original Toecutter, you turned a basket case of a club into a respected outfit who only just fell short of the mark in 2009. I'm sure you'll be a success at whatever you do in the future:thumbsu:

Thanks Max for helping keep this great game going in Tumba. It's great to see some of the local kids developing into top players in the league. That Premiership has eluded the club for so long but that will just make it all the more special went it happens.

Bullioh are a class act with the best facilities in the league, nay the state with a well stocked canteen and world class swimming facilities.

Henry Byrnes a toughnut? He is about as tough as my left nut,and having a go at one bloke confirms it ,he is piss weak,he should try and get a kick,, I havent seen him get to many this year,and go up to the ones instead of thinking your the man in the magoos where all the OLD men go for fun.Toughnut you are F---ing gagging me.:thumbsdown:

tardnut hope ur superstar player plays a blinder in the finals cause ur sides going to need him walk the walk on the big stage that is 2NDS FINALS FOOTY. And by the way where u that scared of what he said to u last year....... Getting ready to go watch cudgy pull walwas pants down today,gunna be a great day the suns out and the sniff of finals footy is in the air:cool: Cudgy by 24 points in the 1sts and walwa by 34points in the 2nds.

First of all ,well done to B/W 2;s an Cudgie in the seniors two close games.
B/W nearly kicked themselfs out of the game in the ressies but now advance to the prelem and in the seniors Cudgie steals the game away from B/W in the final couples of minutes.
Now to the vote count.Congrats to J.Forrest [1st] an M.Molkinten[2nd] .
I've been to 4 vote count nights since moving to the district 8 yrs ago and last night was the worse i've seen it.So unorganized .

Well what a balls up in the seconds yesterday with walwa playing the 1st quater and a half with 2 extra players on the field, the rule book was brought out at halftime, now walwa it states 16 aside comp if a side wishes to play 18 they must let the other side no by 12PM thats what they want as this didnt happen cudgy where disadvantged bigtime with walwa have 10 scoring shots to 2 in 1st quater them having 22 players all up to cudgys 20 and after 2 cudgy blokes went down by start of 3rd quater had not any players left on bench, the umpires didnt even no the rules which made it for one big f..k up all round. TIGER what did u think of the standerd of umpireing in the ones.... ill tell u WORST display of umpires ive ever seen they had 3 of them out there and still didnt help the *******s, b.j and dudley give it up u ruined a good game of footy. Tiger your coach took some good marks but i do belive his selfishness cost u guys.... by taking marks out near the boundry turning his back and not wanting to pass to men 20 meters in the clear in front of goal twice he did it in the 3rd quater. otherwise good day and great weather all round and REF ill tell you what happend to voight he was to busy playing a great game of footy and getting his side over the line to worry bout getting a best and fairest medal.

pretty sure it proves f..k all, any team can knock off anyone in finals. cudgy have taking up to feds this year and never no whats going to happen this saturday 5 feds or bullioh players could get killed by a stray cow before the game.

Couldn't agree more Wog. But i suppose bad umpiring is stock standard in the UM. Thought they might be able to throw us a couple of half reasonable ones for the finals but nup. Still stuck with ******s that feel the need to express their power throughout the entire game and can never seem to swallow the wistle and let the ganme be played by the PLAYERS, that's what everyone came to see isn't it! Butters did play well but took shot on goal in the final term from impossible angles that may have cost hid side the win, who I believed had a lot of the play all day, especially in the last 5 minutes. Cudgy come out unscathed or what? Noticed Bakes play a lot of his day in the forward pocket? Maybe feeling a tad sore? They have the break now so all things going well should lione up at full strength in a fornight one would think. Well done Cudge.

Congratulations to John Forrest on the medal win after a stellar year. Not many people close to the UM would be suprised with the win could they. A flashy, eye catching player is always going to pull the votes whereas players such as Voight/Curran often go un noticed by umpires. Team of the Year was slightly suprising but I don't think any remaining side or player is focused on all that sort of business now are they? Everyone is gearing up for the BIG ONE!
 
We could only hope bullioh players ran into a cow, but yet cudgy showed they are a great team on paper they just need to get their act together if there going to play like the team there supposed to against the 2 top sides

Cudgy held on but only just, moving Glen Eddy into the backline alongside experienced players like Reid and Voight in the second half steadied the ship for the Blues and if Wheeler and Deery can fire in the forward line don't be surprised if they knock off Feds in 2 weeks, if its Bullioh though a lack of size will hurt. As for the 2's its a disgrace the league can't sort out whether its 16 or 18 a side for finals, even the umpires didn't know.:thumbsdown: If its 16 during the year it should be 16 in finals, instead of clubs worrying about treading on each others feet maybe the subject should be actually raised at the league AGM as well as the poor standard of umpiring. Who's even running the show up there?:confused::confused::confused: Where did Reid finish in the league count Ref, he's Bullioh's best player yet didn't figure highly in the voting.
 
Super-Wog i gather when you say he[voight] was to busy getting cudgie over the line you are referring to last Saturdays game against B/W which they were lucky to win .[just so you know the umpirers don't give votes in finals just home an away games],also if my memory is correct he was'nt in the top ten players in the league even Evan got more votes than Voight and they did'nt win agame.He mite get runner-up in cudgies B.F.,J.Jarvis is my pick for B.F.

Well done John Forrest on winning the league B&F. He is a pretty quiet, modest bloke off the field but for a bloke of his size he goes as hard as anyone. Has been a great recruit for us. Heard Kade Small could miss this week with a hand injury. Anyone else heard this?

For starters u are right they where lucky to win, BUT saying that it just showed they played pretty good to win consdering ben macklan killed them in the ruck and gave his onballers 1st use of the ball and how big and strong walwas forwards where compared to the undersized cudgy defenders who done a f..cking great job, also no shit shirlock the umpires dont give votes in finals come to think of it the umps out there saturday wouldnt even no how to give each other a hand job.And by what u are saying bout players everyone thought would have got votes didnt just shows that the stand out players dont always get the votes so dont shit me with he didnt even get in the top 10, Evan gets votes cause he is evan and no ump wants to upset his dad otherwise he will write a article in the paper bout his poor son not getting a fair go. And yeah j. jarvis will probley win it(good kid hope he does) but he is a local and the people who get handed the vote cards each week are mostly locals and dont no who most the travllers are.
 
what is with all the love for Voight? i saw him play 1 game this year and he certainly didnt stand out. all seems to be based on reputation, rather than actual form this year

gee grant i watched a porno once and thought it was shit, wasnt till i watched it a few times i thought SHIT this aint to bad. Good judgement of one game, if you watch him play you would see he is a smart footballer with some brains (theres not to many running round up that way) who has a 1st 2nd and 3 effort every time which most time turns out to him getting the ball back or causing a turnover which goes un-noticed to so many people who are just looking for the blokes trying to look good all the time. he probley only got in there best 10 out of 15 games this year so his ACTUAL form this year must have been shithouse. And back to evan even polling in the league b&f is a joke, for a bloke who played in a team who lost anywhere from 50 to 150 points most week shows how much the umps REALLY no. you cant tell me if there losing by 70 points every week the other side hasnt had at least 3 of the first say 6 best players out there... do u no what it would be like after the game " hey bj who do u think played well" "um reid 3 nichol 2 and shit old evan has played up here for years and god dam it if i knew anyone else out there today dudley, dont we normally give him a vote every other year" "yeah u r right bj he has packed on a few kilos and grown a beard it really makes him stand out more, f..k it that will do lets do this so we can go shower with each other"
