Seen some Democrat types suggesting that polling places were using Starlink to send voting tabulations and that Musk hacked it to get Trump elected.

gold jerry,
their electoral system is so fooked, how can it take a week to count votes in AZ and NV.
always funny to me that the self-appointed arbiter of democracy around the world is this dogshit at running elections. not to mention openly corrupt and undemocratic

I don’t think there’s ever been an election over there where the losers haven’t claimed some sort of election interference.

Nah, 2004-08-12 were all pretty free of it

A lot of anger floating around in here.
If anyone is to blame it is the Democratic Party. They botched the leadership transfer, botched their candidate, ran a terrible campaign and failed to connect with middle class America.

It's also an excellent reminder that the US is a violent and racist society far beyond what we have in Australia or Europe.

Human life is very cheap in the US.

Look at how they simply accept the ritual slaughter of their children in schools.

😂 yeh there is a few stories heading around.. we vote the same in this country. We voted in, wait for it.. Tony Abbott …. THEN this country voted in Scott Morrison… NOW We are likely to see a hung parliament with PETER ****ING SPUD DUTTON!!!

We are as inept as they are. We are a disgrace and as uneducated on politics and a sucker for populism and reject liberalism as quick as they do. We are ducks voting for duck season. We are as bad as they are. This trump shit gains legs in foreign countries, its alarming. Perhaps this toothpaste shit has a legitimate argument 😂

'Everyone who doesn't vote for who I vote for is a disgrace...'

Yeah right...

I find the racism accusation interesting considering the large swing by Latino American and African American voters towards Trump. There are a lot of minority Americans who do not feel that they are being discriminated against. They are shouted down mostly, because everyone loves a good victim narrative.

After trumps win, I believe opinions/talk around women’s choices has become an absolute joke amongst mainly boys. A very toxic place.

Ignore the douchebag, he is getting exactly what he wants, outrage brings in clicks and revenue.
Ultimately if he said that publicly in front of any self respecting individual, he’ll get his jaw broken.

The amount of support for that, the texts to black americans nationwide, and now Rogan's latest guest openly saying 'Jews run the media and hate white guys' without any pushback. I was browsing the reddit threads, and even on the more 'moderate' subs a good 70% of the comments had no issue with it. And it's been 5 days since the election. Even if the Trump admin just ends up being a fairly typical conservative government, the culture that has been fostered is going to do immense social damage. There's a reason even our own white nationalists are celebrating the Trump win, their rhetoric has become normalized. Gonna be a wild 4 years for the US.

Republicans clowning how Democrats were crying because of the loss but didn’t they storm the capital when they lost🤔

Oh wow. What did you see?
'Twas a cold, still night. I drove home in my pale green VW beetle, turned right and parked in my driveway.

I stepped outside the car and as i was locking the driver door i noticed a strange light, quickly gaining in intensity until it was almost blinding. As i watched across the road, there were no colours, only white and blue.

I was confused as to the source of the light and i looked over my shoulder and saw an oval shaped object, about the size of a car float above the road, about 2 metres over the telephone wires. I could not make out a defined shape, it was only light.

The light moved down the street in absolute silence until it stopped above and forward of me, only about 5 or 6 metres away. I just stood there gaping, unable to move.

After maybe 3 seconds it disappeared.

And that's it. The whole moment may have only lasted 20 seconds.

The vast majority of Trump voters were white and we know immigration was a key driver.

Immigration has featured in lots of elections around the west, but none have had the mass deportation element.

That's another level of racism and violence again, and small numbers of voters from various communities changing their vote doesn't alter it.

I wonder if the thread's biggest US fan and expert will emerge one day to acknowledge this reality.

It wasn't Russian tricks that put Trump in office, it was the innate prejudice and aggression of the average American.

The Republicans didn't storm it until months after the election ...

So often voters with questions surrounding immigration get roped in as racists. I don't believe it is racist to want strong borders and for immigrants to follow the correct process to enter a country. If someone hasn't followed these processes, then they are in the country illegally and should be subject to deportation. It's a matter of law.
I believe close to 50% of Latino Americans voted for Trump but yes, most of his voters were white.

Dude, that’s Theo Von. The fact that anyone would take that seriously is beyond ridiculous. His whole schtick is saying silly things.

Probably the most likeable person in comedy.

Relax.

It's pretty funny how Australian Trump types are desperate to play down the race element when the man himself is openly and proudly racist as are so many of his US supporters.

His whole political identity has been built on race, his Birtherist bullshit is what started it all.

But fwiw I think it was the violent and aggressive strain of US culture that was more decisive than race.

It's a brutal, hideously violent society. They literally torture people to death with state sanction.

After the trauma of COVID, where thousands of people died every day for months, then the inflation shock, it's no wonder a violent society responded positively to a violent strongman offering violent "solutions".

The US has been an imperial power overseas for decades and decades.

Now it is entering its imperial stage at home - Caesers are here.

None of this is surprising to anyone with half a brane. Even if Harris won (as i thought she would), it just pushed Foucault's boomerang out a few years.
