Be nice to have a defender who can win a 1 vs 1 apart from GriffBeat his man, attacked the ball in defence, good intensity and used it well the few times he had it. He’s had a couple good weeks.
Strong defensive performance I thought. Really neutralised the Willy talls, got more into it offensively as the game wore on and opened up. Has improved as a genuine key defender I think.Dawson ?
Another having a very good patch of form in recent weeks. Beat his opponent and rebounded strongly. Actually looks a bit bigger in the body and his one-on-one stuff has improved. His disposal is reliable.Dawson ?
A few others not mentioned:
- Young deserves a game at the top level. He is just plain reliable and makes good decisions. Doesn’t get a stack of it, but you don’t see him get beaten all that often. Ziebell and L Mac keeping him out atm.
- Perez has been another who has been good over the past few matches. Not as much footy today, but his disposal, pace and contested stuff was excellent. Had a brilliant third quarter.
- Hall was very good today. Had at least 4 GAs, intercepted, contested well and used it well, besides 2 bad clangers.
- Hansen had one of the better 8 disposal games you would see. Does a lot of the little things right. Growing in confidence with a couple nice runs and moves. Raw, but you can see a player there.
- Laz clearly too good for this level. Likewise Howe.
- Taylor was ok. Used it fairly well in tough conditions.
- Goater was excellent on heavily managed minutes. Took 2-3 contested marks against larger opponents. Used his leap and pace really well today. Mostly played as a deeper defender on tall opponents.

I can't actually remember when we had, or were aligned with, a VFL team that was as competitive as this one.
Yeah won heaps of flags with themWe had a powerhouse alignment with North Ballarat.
Still shattered they're goneWe had a powerhouse alignment with North Ballarat.
Both today, but usually operates as a small medium. Is Cooper kicking these goals as a crumbing small forward or basically a small medium forward, ala Jamie Elliot?
Thank the AFL gifting the Bulldogs revenue.Still shattered they're gone
With Ziebell and Goldstein. The time is rightCunners 13 touches You’d think he plays one farewell game (vs Richmond at the G?) and calls time sadly.
Yes that’s right as we have a joke of a co captain McDonald doing the same thing atm.Understandably, he just seems slow to react, think and move.
I really rate Lachie Young. Don't know why he doesn't get a goA few others not mentioned:

Yes I remember them giving them 3 premierships and having to listen to there Ar:ehole supporters trying to me the NMFC had a small role in the success .We had a powerhouse alignment with North Ballarat.
From one of the most improved to purgatory pretty quicklyI really rate Lachie Young. Don't know why he doesn't get a go
Add Hall to that list as wellWith Ziebell and Goldstein. The time is right
With Bonar back next week 1 of those 2 May miss out unfortunately.Leinart and Butler rested. Why after a bye vs a team like willi
