As the 1s is so much a development team, I see no difference between the 1s and the 2s. I hope the players that get dropped to the 2s is not necessarily a demotion, it is just a reset.

I like the idea that guys in the 2s are working together and applying the gameplan with less pressure, and winning. They can bring it as a group to the seniors.
