Finishes NM 101 - Geelol 58

Poor finishing and kicking for long periods let us down until the dam wall broke in the fourth with 7.4 to 1.0. Hansen, Goater, Goldy, Sellers, Berg, Phillips and Davis best on for mine.

It just goes to show that if you bring intensity a day determination that it creates pressure for the other team, which then pushes the opposition to make mistakes. The twos come out and go berserk, sticking their tackles and relentless with chasing. That's how they wore the Cats down today.

Archer may not be best by disposal but he shuts down his opponents, something that no defender in the ones is doing. I think a defender should be rewarded games by not how many touches they get, but by how much they restrict their opponent.

Goater a bit sloppy, but the same thing. Applies relentless pressure, has good breakaway speed, and can mark.

I know we all rag about Edwards, but there is something there. Presents well, and has pretty good skills for a bloke his size. Persist until he is about 22, then you will know if he will develop.
