As far as existing aircraft that work .
This one flys for 50 minutes, barely faster than a car (180km/h ) , one passenger, 50 minutes flight.
They may be used for flight schools, so technically "commercial aircraft".

This one "appears" to be nearly ready, 9 seater , 500km ish range ( after lots of promises earlier that they backed away from ). Bare in mind though, it can take 5-9 years to get all the approvals needed for commercial operation.

Switching from batteries to hydrogen improved drones in the Ukraine from 4 hours to 16 hours.

This improved kill rates as EW could not be deployed against them as well, as they could acts like a conveyor belt maintaining line of sight of each other.

Pure silicon anode batteries were just as good but crazy expensive at USD$50k per tonne just for the raw materials

You wont lose out by delaying your decision. Prices will only come down and once solar install saturation occurs, then the government will start heavily subsidising battery installs.

All that fed and state subsidies that is sitting there as solar installs are slowing down.

More renewable is a terrific thing and should be encouraged by all governments but how much of the CCPs advantage is through the use of slave labour. We need to look at other sources for renewable technology until the CCP enters the modern era for human rights.

Not a lot actually, but there seem to be some pretty unethical operators there ( Plastic in the baby formula anyone ), who will take advantage over anything that's not enforced.
Most of the slave labour took place in outlying regional places in China, and the government there have been pretty embarrassed by it and will be trying to stamp it out.

However i can't see where BYD have committed to external audits like some organizations do.

Their subby obviously thought that "what happens in Brazil , stays in Brazil ".

When you read this, i wonder if the Chinese company was "busted" due to resentment of brining in Chinese workers, rather than locals.

Like panels, and before that, computers, prices will drop significantly, likely lover the next 4 years. After that, the price will plateau, but you'll only get better system specs over time. I suspect in 4 years, you'll have deals to install 10kw of home battery for $1,500.

Sure, but just like 6.6kw solar for 1,000 is the basement price for solar, you can always go bigger. The same will apply to batteries.

I also expect to see small scale wind turbines (10kW) installed to complement solar panels. Current vertical wind turbines are about $1,500. The only problem is maintenance. They'll solve a lot of that with low maintenance design for domestic use.

Wind turbines don't scale as well as solar.
The output is proportional to the wind speed cubed.
So if you have a turbine rated at 5kw in a 40km/h wind, it will only be generating something like 1kw in a 20km/h wind.

The Brazilian company JPS are busy brining in overseas workers here for meatworks etc… some living in motels.
