The Swans really really really impressed me. The AFL could learn something from the NRL :thumbsu:

I was hoping when they flashed back to the 1980's they would mention Hawthorn's dominace of the competition because a few of my League mates actually doubt we ever won a flag :D

But lets take it one step at a time. I would love to see more communication between League and Rules.

I hope that League and AFL merge to form a new harder and more skillfull game than each code can individually offer.

Imagine if we had a game of aussie rules where a tackel was only a tackel once a man was put into the turf, and if a player could be takeld from the shoulders to the ankels!!

No soft fee kicks either.

I reckon the ruling class code of Rules/R league, could collectively destroy the bumsniffers code of the ruling class. I only they could merge!!!

Do you only get 6 tackles before you have to give the ball over :)

Great show last night in front of a huge live audience.

The Fatman >>>>>>>> Eddie as a compere.
Reggie >>>>>>>> Sam

The NRL Footy Show has lways been kind to AFL.

Back in 96 they had a few on as guests at times during the year. Fatty thought the crowd was booing Paul Roos when he came on back then.

a topic for g.g's next thread, he could spend 8 weeks sitting down designing the rules, come on g.g we all want here about this new code

It was good indeed- although I think Leo Barry was still tipsy throughout it! :p

Good to see they got a good reception from the NRL-strong crowd too.

didn't catch the NRL show, can't stand Reg Reagan...what did they do?

i'd be lying if i watched many of the NRL footy shows this year but did they did a lot less of the skits & commercials / TV send ups that make the show so funny?

the grand final shows always been funny in the past for showing the best of those, remember Sterlo as Steve Irwins wife? haha that was hilarious

That nearly happened... discussions took place early last century to do this.

I love the NRL footy show. Almost as much as i USED to like the AFL footy show. I just think their set up is better. Dare Devil Dudes is one of the funniest segments ever.

Last night would have been the last ever DDD because of Fatty's accident. FTR there was only one bit I enjoyed last night, and that was Mick Meredith's part. The rest was relatively borefest as usual.

hey what did actually happen to the fat man?

all i heard was that he fell off a truck or something?

anyone got details about this? what did he break / what damage was done?

how did it occur etc...

it was great when they all ignored Rebecca Wilson for that one night, thats my highlight for the year...
