Great first season. I loved the main character. Really cast him well and looks like the Witcher I think of from the game. Really look forward to season 2.

Like I said, the reporting is very strange, and generally from sites that I'd say aren't that well known. Quite a few with clickbait headlines that seem to confirm he's gone, but then you read the article and it isn't confirmed. Seems to be some articles also get confused about an injury early in filming season 2, some that state he's gone following season 2, and some that only say there are whispers;

Better than the first season, but unfortunately not living up to its potential. Can’t fault Cavill, he’s great but the writers have missed what’s great about the story.
Can’t help but think they’ve gone too early with the Ciri stuff. The actress Freya is 20 already and what works so well in the canon is she is a surrogate child for two parents that can’t have kids. Going to be way too old to fill that role. Should be about 12 at this point in the story.

I enjoyed this season but the last episode sort of dropped the ball. Overall this season felt more of a generic fantasy series. Despite me never having read the books or played the games.
