And Freo hasn't been in a grand final since 2013. LoL

Saying that, Looking back at Freo dockers 2022 season... I was glad Freo finished in a strong 5th spot rather than a weak 4th place. Here is the main reason why.

Had the dockers finished 4th, they would of lost to cats in the qualifying final. They would face either magpies or swans in Perth in a semi final. Both side belted dockers in Perth that season. Good chance for them to repeat the result.

Glad Freo got 5th and won an elimination final vs the dogs. Had Freo not won a final in 2022, their last finals win was back in 2015.

I enjoyed that 2014-19 period when it was at the Adelaide convention centre, it's next to the casino.

I enjoyed rotating in the convention centre and casino to watch AFL.

Yeah at AVCON you got people dressing up as characters from anime shows.

Yep they are cosplayers.

Some are young adults. Some are teenangers.

But I haven't gone to an Avcon event since the 2020 pandemic.

Again I am 36. Going to one in 2024 in an even full of 18-25 year Olds makes me.... Ancient. LoL

Meh. all the best animes are from the nineties (and very early 2000s) and most of those 18-25s have never seen them. Feeling old is good in this case.
