I have a deviated septum (basically the wall in between my nostrils is hecked) and I sleep on my side, so because of my nasal issue when I lie on my left side, my left nostril blocks. Extremely annoying and the only way to unblock it is to roll onto my right side…and I’ll let you join the dots as to what happens then 🤦‍♀️

Nasal strips lift and dilate the nostrils and have increased my sleep health tenfold. No more mouth breathing (which in turn makes my mouth super dry at night which is also frustrating) and no more snoring! Revolutionary tbh. May not be a fix for everyone but sure works for me.

Thanks for that info. I often wake up with a dry mouth and suspect I've been snoring. I've ordered nasal strips 30 for $20 so not expensive to have a trial run.

Watching the Louis Theroux interview with Pete Doherty, you would barely recognise him as the same guy from 20 odd years ago.

Now

Then

Where did the time go?

Are you tired throughout the day as well. I ended up having a take home sleep study done and found out I had really bad sleep apnea so now have a cpap machine and it has improved my life so much. The strips are good I assume for widening your nasal passages and getting air through but if you have other underlying issues they won’t do anything. Will be interesting to see your results.

Could post this in a few spots but it made me think more about changing attitudes towards how we view media options

'' dont make me watch overseas tennis tournaments - I dont have a tv anyway''

I could never see a time where I DONT have a tv in my house

Then again it took a while to get rid of my rotary land line telephone

Do people still have televisions or are you watching on laptop screens or phones?

Still have a tv but I use it mainly for streaming things like YouTube, Kayo, Netflix etc. Purely so I don’t spend all my free time rotting in bed watching things on my laptop (I just rot on the couch instead).

In a slightly similar vein, went to watch the footy at a colleagues place last night, can’t remember the last time I watched footy on free to air. Or anything on free to air, really, because she has no streaming services

Still have a TV, tough to see TVs (or at least big ass monitors) going away, if anything well just start integrating screens into bigger spaces (walls etc).

I was shocked with the whole streaming rights to sports thing that is currently kicking about parliament. Made me feel old.

League football in England has been behind a paywall in since the Premier League started in the early 90s and cricket jumped from Sky to fta and back a couple of times, we've been so lucky with fta sport in this country for such a long time that some of it disappearing has been a bit of a culture shock.

I’m normally wear a tshirt for most of the year but I’m now really feeling the cold, had to wear a jumper in bed last night ffs

Last two weeks the crows and port games which were away games were on delayed telecast, away games used to always be shown live on fta

That's just a pisstake I agree. It's not like it's 1994 and you can just avoid the radio either.
I remember ''look away now''

Then there was the time Graeme Goodings gave away the ending of a delayed game in a ' News Update ' and the place going spare - this would have been 2009?

I just end up just listening to it on the radio while doing other work so I guess it benefits my wife 😂
