Sitting on a deep tissue massager trying to relax my Piriformis muscle that is pinching my sciatic nerve. My body feels so old.

To much time building a car port thingy tring to use your powers to the greater good instead of throwing things ..😂

I tried learning a Green Day song on guitar and it just reminded me of the Ramones, a lot, the way they riff, dunno, I'd say Billie Joe is a big fan. Plus they have covered them a bit I believe.

Very up and down career but they gave us Dookie and American Idiot, both classics.

I never vibed with them at all, the pop punk stuff like them, Blink 182 and the like not my jam, might be common for a metal head though.

Lots of bands learn stuff and steal riffs of older bands .
Even if they don't sound the same.

Some bands only have one good song or album.

I think they touring here .
They definitely have a bit more than one. I find them an interesting case study because they were huge in the early 90s but were clearly fading out of relevance, then had a second career with American Idiot. Not many bands get two shots at mainstream success, usually it's more like a Pearl Jam or Foo Fighters where once the initial mainstream success has passed, they have a core group of fans that hang around. Surprisingly, after a decade of average albums, Green Day's latest is an absolute belter. Three great albums, all years apart.

Oh yeah and I totally support this by the way, I try and come up with my own stuff and it's impossible not to sound like Metallica/Megadeth/Tool etc. My only point was that I don't like Green Day and I feel The Ramones were a big influence.

It's good when bands can still produce a ripper past their peak. Judas Priest's latest album was a cracker and they started in 1969

Depends on personal taste..

I would not put green day on the same level as PJ/Foo fighters.
But that's just me.

You don't like the Eagles?

You're dead to me.
I took my mum to their Hell Freezes Over concert and found the exception to the general rule that drugs improve everything. I enjoyed Joe Walsh's two songs though.
