I think I would have brought in Digby as a 3rd - 4th tall up forward. We seem a little small.

Whilst I agree, don't be surprised if other Carlton supporters bag you for saying that. A number have been rather touch'e the last few weeks.

As for the team, we've got one key backmen and they've got one key forward, makes sense.......................... hang on! They got Ottens in the off-season didn't they? Oops! Can the AFL give our team sheet back?

Honestly Dennis, if we get flogged (and we will IMO), don't give us crap about being undermanned in the back half. You could have easily selected Norman or Morrell to fill those rolls. But no, it's all about developing certain players now, not about winning. Sounds like we're conceding the game again... I am one frustrated Carlton supporter right now.


ps. I agree with the Bentick selection. You guys constantly talk up your Wiggins and your O'hAilpins, but this is a kid with real talent

The difference between his comment and yours is that he isn't writing him off for life after just one game. I actually agree that he isn't ready yet, but given a year or so he'll be more than ready to put his stamp on the comp.

It's a real shame Livo wasn't fit, and I agree we should've brought in Morrell but I think we've wrote him (and Norman) off at this point. Dennis is playing players he knows have a chance of being on the list next year.

leave lappin down back, leave fev & whitall up front.....FOR GOD SAKE HIT THE TARGETS ITS THAT SIMPLE..there is nothing wrong with our setup...kick the ball onto the chest or out in front, not down in at there shoe laces or over there heads..as much as people say the other teams lets us play open footy in the wizard cup thats crap..our skills were far a above the best out there..we played fast attacking footy and hit fev on the lead, there is nothing they could do ...if we play like last week it will be another 80point drubbing

I'm very surpried that Livo isn't playing. Denis was quoted as saying that he'll play, either firsts or seconds. Surely he is worth playing tomorrow night. It at least gets us back to the structure we had in the Wiz Cup.

Also believe DeLuca is VERY lucky to still be in the team. He hasn't fired a shot yet all year!!

He had a great game against Essendon. He was one of the reasons why we won that game and since we've only won two games this year that puts him several ranks above some others I could name.

He's been in the best every week. His inclusion is long overdue.

He had a great game against Essendon. He was one of the reasons why we won that game and since we've only won two games this year that puts him several ranks above some others I could name.

Fair enough, but he just seems to get pushed off the ball too easily for a big guy. Is useless down back, and the jury is still out on his rucking abilities.

IMO, he really needs to lift in the coming weeks

Actually he was pretty good in the first three rounds... admittably he hasn't done much since.

Norman is playing shocking football. When your getting outmarked and thrashed by Medhurst your a bit of a disgrace. Morrell should probably be played, but since he'll be gone next year Pagan probably doesn't see the point.

I must heve been watching a different game but DeLuca hardly touched the ball against the Kangaroos in the opening round and was close to being dropped. He did rebound quite well against the Bombers the following the week.

He's an on-baller, in my opinion very similar to ratten but has a bit more pace, tough nut, in an under player.
