Normally you need to register that you are taking up the Grand Final option before the preliminary final happens. That was the case in 2018 but I haven't heard anything this time around

I am not a true Demons fan... I do have a jacket and t shirt that I bought because I got on the bandwagon... sorry... You guys are exciting to watch

I would love to get my hands on some codes...

I do have a sob story - that I was involved in a assault this year where I was attacked inside a petrol station over an individual asking for my phone... Luckily the Police had footage and the individuals have been charged... So I will receive Victims Compensation in regards to the cost of my injuries... Still annoying - I can go on in detail... however the real kicker was that the one of the workers in the inside the store came up to me (as I was bleeding, swollen and basically in tears) and said “hey man really feel for you... umm I probably could have taken those guys but I don’t want to lose my job” (kinda fair but serious not the best to tell someone)... “like they didn’t know how to fight properly... they were fighting like kids no stance and the way they threw punches... umm I can teach you how to fight after this if you like...”

The worker sat there and watched it all happen (and it went on for a bit). He didn’t jump in but telling he could have - really annoyed me... (I know it’s scary and it’s hard in that situation to do something - sorry I’m jaded and bitter)... This really made me question people and human nature... Made me depressed and annoyed too...

I can’t complain as it could have been a million times worse and everyone is going thru issues and problems...

ALSO if you know about VICTIM COMPENSATION please PM me as Legal Aid don’t want to do anything till all my surgeries are done... Help
On this means a lot any advice would be great... I know other states are different...

Gday everyone. I'm a West Aussie chasing barcodes for the gf. I'm a Perth Demons (WAFL) fan and as you would prob know they haven't won a flag since 1977. Would love to see a Demons team finally get one. As a Perth fan I have always followed Melb closely however for full transparency I did jump on the Eagles when they came out. Anyway I'll be at the game wearing red and blue this Friday. If anyone can hook me up with some codes after the big win it would be greatly appreciated. As it could create a bidding war or a black market...

Could the mods develop a system where unwanted / un-needed codes could go into a raffle system where we WA people could buy or be offered tickets in the chance to win a code / codes...

The money could then go to the club, a charity or a club focus charity...

I think if tickets in the raffle were say $5 or $10...

There are lots of online raffle draw systems that are fair and transparent

Mods take absolutely zero responsibility for any of this. It’s up to those with barcodes if they choose to share them; otherwise it creates a host of legal issues that I have better things to do than try to talk to my lawyer about.

Some friendly if completely unsolicited advice to my Melbourne comrades from a Perth-based moderator, well versed in ticket requests from the 2012, 2014, and 2016 grand finals. I saw Perth based because as well as having to manage the mess in 2012, I also benefited from buying a ticket from another member in 2016 and made the big trip across.

We had all sorts of new accounts, ring-ins, and dodgy characters all over our ticketing thread. Its a bit of a landmine, you really want to help people get to the game but it was easy for well-meaning posters to get scammed. We had a couple of particularly outrageous incidents (including a Hawthorn fan posing as a Swans fan and buying someone's seat) which led us to limit posting to long term members with (I think) 100+ posts who were in good standing on the forum.

To anyone considering selling codes or giving them away, be mindful that the code doesn't change year on year.

If barcodes are ever relevant again there will be someone who can tap into your membership - although unlikely if a WA resident.

Not saying don't, just saying be careful and use an escrow service or something.

before the game a couple rounds ago (the game that got delayed in Q4 due to the storm warning). Got to meet some fantastic dee supporters near us the same night and after the eagles defeat, said to them we will be supporting them in the finals to go all the way. Would love two barcodes and if offered to me, my fiancé and I both will be buying a Demons Guernsey straight away will be cheering for your team and will be happy to get you a gift from Optus Stadium on the big day
