THREE THINGS I LEARNT THIS WEEK

ROUND 1

Yes we're back!! The Sweet FA's wondrous weekly warehouse of wonderment is back once again to enliven and enrich the experiences of the masses... welcome everyone to 'Three Things' for Season 37!!

Three things I learnt this week...
  1. The Sweet FA loves a survey... as long as the punters get to talk about themselves. Good thread, Fred :thumbsu:
  2. The league's resident Sweet FA proctologist must just about be the hardest working man in showbiz. Nothing worse than a dodgy colon, just ask Mobbs
  3. If I had a dollar for every season we didn't have a f**k up of some description in Round 1 of a new season, I would have zero dollars

Over to you Sweet FA, what did you learn this week?

1. AI art is here to stay whether we like it or not
2. There are more SFA players with links to Bendigo of all places, than I ever realised
3. As I suspected, myblueroan has a wonderful career ahead, if she wants it

1. End of season awards are not won in preseason, despite some good efforts so far. Will be impressive if some can keep up the early pace.
2. Rookie threads are the new 100 game milestone threads, long may that continue.
3. Clubs have a chance to reset and change their outlook, some have taken advantage of the new season, some have about a week left to lift their game … before they are resigned to further mediocrity.

1: Greenery cannot be trusted, and needs a co-captain to keep him in check.

2: The sim has dragged me away from the forward line for the last three games. Clearly it has a vendetta.

3: I'm going to become The Joker.

1. #cuptospoontocup is well underway
2. This years rookie crop seems miles ahead of the last few, let’s hope they don’t burn out
3. Loads of posters have come into S37 underdone, not quite ready for some hard hitting journalism/where is all the media?

1. The East Side Hawks extend their unbeaten streak, with their last loss coming all the way back in Season 31.
2. Headless can’t help himself. Backline for life.
3. Pugsley goes back a lot further than I remembered. A good week from the veteran.

I think somebody is looking for a Tarks-Headless match-up!

And catch-up, of course, for we see a lot less of each other these days.

It's big of you to dent your Fred ambitions for a week sit on the pine with me, but I appreciate it.
Now we’re sitting on toadstools with the same group of fairies!

It's fantastic to see 'less' put his INT#2 ALL-SFA ambitions aside and want to play FB that round
Interchange is not a specialist position, ‘Less

Oh things have changed alot at Buller then

I remember many seasons ago when we had that streak running, DVD and all and 'less'would come on from INT#2 kick countless clutch goals. He would even run on and run back off in the space of 3 seconds surely only a specialist could do that

Oh, no. No, please have it known that Tarks is aiming for DONUTS in that round, Guns. We have so much to discuss!
Would that be DONUTS of the handball variety because to kick BAGS of goals one would want those type of DONUTS.

Harvey Manfrenjensenden please confirm to kick BAGS of goals it would be best to have those type of DONUTS

What is this? A MOUNT BULLER REUNION THREAD? 🤗

Could be a thread in that. :lightbulb:

Might want to forward PhenomenalV1 some idea's for that thread

Round 8 - Sunday, 24 March 2024
East Side Hawks v Mount Buller Demons at The Eyrie

You're green tea is making you not think very clear because I would've thought he would be working on a ESH Streak OP
Best streak in the league right now. The Phoenix rebrand was 4D chess after all!
