Season 38 Edition

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Welcome... to the third annual edition of The TiF Awards.

Tonight, we celebrate with a marquee event befitting of the palatial Sweet Gala Ballroom here in Guns Towers as we recognise some of the most outstanding achievements across the Sweet FA over the past year, a night packed full of all the excitement and theatre one would expect from the pinnacle of the Sweet FA awards calendar.

The brightest up and coming stars of the competition and the league’s biggest names all brought together here tonight in a frenzy of anticipation, with an extensive suite of awards up for grabs on the Sweet FA’s night of nights.

The red carpet arrivals are already turning heads as the league’s best strut their stuff on their way in, hoping to leave tonight having made history as worthy winners of the prestigious TiF Awards.

So sit back and relax, and enjoy the canapes as all the glitz and glamour of the ‘TiFFies’ commences soon.

Robertio (Old Boys)

We kick off proceedings with one of The TiF Awards' most famous and until this season, least hotly contested awards, the Golden Kilroy.

But in our first shock of the night, the man himself has been bumped from his own award, as a new contender has arrived.

For usurping Kilroy himself by inserting even further into the Rising Star goings-on this season, no less than 9 seasons on from his own rookie season. Has Rob overtaken Kilroy as the league’s biggest ever ‘Toolie’ in Sweet FA history? Or was he simply trailing behind DemurePrincess had no idea where he was and inadvertently trampled on Kilroy's turf? In a totally normal, uncreepy way of course! Just like his equally uncreepily Ligma phase. Or was he simply taking his new teammate Pugsley out for a walk? I guess you'd have to read the thread, if you have a spare week up your sleeve.

Anyway, take your medicine Kilroy and hand over the award, you’ve been outgunned at your own game.

Arise Sir Rob, Lord of the Rookies. :D

Over The Post (Old Boys)

Staying with the Old Boys (which of course we know will light up the team PM), and we come to another important recognition of outstanding league contribution - the best return by an inactive has-been.
Now I know what you're thinking. And yes, he's more of a never was, but that's besides the point. Over The Post has made a triumphant return since rediscovering his BigFooty password mid year, becoming an integral part of their barnstorming assault on the senses in S38.

Averaging 43 posts a week, mostly anko philreich dad joke type material* granted... but hey, he gave it a red hot crack in a surprise return and has been duly recognised for his efforts with his very first TiF Award.

Congratulations OTP, I'd get some lotion on that crack if I was you!!

*Somewhere in FNQ, grumbleguts just fell to his knees in a high school science laboratory.

serial_thrilla (Swamprats)

Next up we have a new award making it's debut here in the third annual TiF Awards ceremony, as this poster has set himself apart in a league of his own with this important and extremely impactful change in 2024.

No, it's not damicky's completely underwhelming Remy the Rat avatar, but his new teammate serial_thrilla, whose entirely obnoxious, smug and w**kerish avatar now perfectly fits his demeanour.

As far as insufferable flogs come, they don't come much bigger than thrilla. And with an avatar of a total knob jockey doing spins and clapping himself with a shit eating grin, he has absolutely nailed the brief.

Now one of my favourite characters around this joint, congratulations thrilla. You've earned this one.

Don't flatter yourself TIFfler, you'd be surprised (and no doubt disappointed) how very little you move the needle.
