I disagree. I think we can bounce back in 2-3 years.

It’s all about finding players to fill up the best 25, not just finding the next Dusty or Cotch.

Our current under 25 group may not have too many evident superstars but I think half can at least become best 25 players.

With bumper draft hands this year and next year (well at least a high first pick likely) we can find those elite players we need. Whilst they are developing we will still have Taranto/Hopper, and the other older guys to help bring them through.

Yeah I was looking at the 2019 draft. Just cos I reckon the players we draft this coming draft will be really starting to hit their peak in 5 years time. There's not many misses so hopefully with 6icks in the top 20 we can really start to build the nucleus of a really good team.

Looking at some of the duds drafted in the first round (Schache, Weideman) is more evidence that clubs should prioritize talent rather than "needs" at the draft. If Richmond receive 3+ picks in the top ten, I wouldn't want them to pick anyone but talented midfielders.
