Posted this on 'another website' but thought I'd post it here, if anyone is interested.

Just something I've noticed with the Richmond Footy Club this year and that is the teams they've beaten.
Now Collingwood we defeated and quite convincingly, Adelaide we got up, Geelong, Essendon and Carlton aswell as Brisbane and the Roos. 2 out of the 6 are in the eight with 2 more fighting for that spoon aswell as 2 who are still 'mathematically possible'.
Comparing this to the teams we've lost to: Sydney and the Bulldogs - thumpings, Hawthorn - embarrasing, St.Kilda, West Coast and Fremantle.
So sitting at 7 and 6 we can see an even spread of teams of team we have won and lost to.
Now, you'd all be saying "rfctigerarmy, get the hell onto something constructive!"
Ok,
If we look at the Alphabetical order of the teams who we have won and lost to we can see:
1. Adelaide - Win
2. Brisbane - Win
3. Carlton - Win
4. Collingwood - Win
5. Essendon - Win
6. Fremantle - Loss
7. Geelong - Win
8. Hawthorn - Loss
9. Kangaroos - Win
10. Melbourne
11. Port Adelaide
12. Richmond (us..)
13. St.Kilda - Loss
14. Sydney - Loss
15. West Coast - Loss
16. Bulldogs - Loss
Pretty cool, right? We know our ABC's but struggle with our XYZ's.
If you want me to put rfctigerarmyous' theorem to the test, well thats easy.
Port Adelaide will provide us with a win, this week, and Melbourne, the week after will provide us with a loss. Pretty simple really - We cant defeat ourselves (ha smartarses, yes I did takle that into consideration) so that cancels out a loss (5 losses from the bottom in contrast with the 5 wins up the top). Then, to contrast with the Fremantle game we will win. The week after, to contrast with the Geelong game, the Melbourne game will provide us with a Loss.
