Good to see love for Riewoldt finally. I see him as being massively underrated in SC. Injured most of last year and still scored reasonably. Huge scores in NAB cup games. More confident and skillful midfield. Surely he is in for a big year.

Yeah, his NAB cup form was outstanding, he scored 120+ twice and 60+ in half a game against Freo. If he keeps moving up the ground and getting involved in moving the ball forward I think he could post some big numbers this year.

I've gone a bit crazy this year - I have 7 Tigers in my supercoach team:
Defenders: Deledio, Ellis, Morris
Mids: Cotchin
Rucks: Maric
Forwards: Martin, Riewoldt

Have any other Tiger fans gone in this hard?

My only regret is I couldn't pick Griggs in his best position - the ruck! ;)

I was originally going with Deledio, Martin, Ellis and Cotchin but I've gone a bit crazy too, adding Maric and Morris. I'm probably going to regret Maric because Giles will probably average ~75 odd.

Riewoldt could reward you massively but he's too big a risk for me.

Toying with the idea of A.Maric over Porplyzia at the moment. If it wasn't for our tough draw i'd lock it in. He's been getting a heap of the ball this pre-season and his skills are superb.

Anyone else taking the punt?

This is for SC.

Any thoughts on Webberley?

Named as an emergency for tomorrow night.

Considering playing Webberley and taking Bugg's 97 (he was my emergency).

Can't see him playing tomorrow night.

IMO he is not a member of our best 22 at the moment, a depth player.

Yeah, he won't play tomorrow night, as you'd want. But he is only likely to come in if injury hits our runners. Otherwise, probably still behind Jake King, and has a habit of being given the green jacket when he does play - thus his low price this year.

Not sure.

I'm pretty convinced that Conca will be the sub tomorrow night and one of Maric or Ellis/Morris will be subbed off.

If Conca starts as the sub....

If its a close game. Would suggest Ellis/Morris vested. (about half way through).

If we are a few goals up, think it will be a late late sub change. (Could be anyone)

If we are 7+ goals up in the second half, I think a player like Grigg or Edwards could be vested for Conca.

If we are miles down, same thing.

Going to be a great game. Looking forward to it.

Now, I know the knee jerk option would be to drop Morris from my DT side after Round 2 - but I think there is still hope despite his dismal point scoring performance.

Probably the most important thing picking base-pricers is job security. From what I heard, and my limited viewing of the game, Morris was very good at his one percenters, and gave 100%. This would suggest that he probably won't be dropped any time soon, particularly with limited options to replace him.

Of course his supposed poor kicking is going to count against him. Would it be sensible to hold to Morris for a while and wait for some decent scores.

I also have Brandon Ellis, but being named on the wing last weekend, reassures me that he will have plenty of opportunities and score well at some stage. Unfortunate that last week's game was such a let down DT-wise (of course it was a great contest for 3 qtrs though).

At this stage I would be keeping Morris, he was asked to play a tight lockdown role on Thursday night, yet in the last NAB game he racked up 90 points playing a link up role. This week against the Pies, there is a chance that he may well get to play the link up role again given they don't really have a dangerous small forward for him to sit on like Betts.

With that in mind if he does stink it up again this week and scores another 30-40 it will be tought decision time, do you hold him and hope he gets a decent score or do you look to rectify the situation and trade across to another rookie.

Cheers for the reply mate, am thinking that with Krakouer gone and Beams, Didak doubtful, Sidebottom and Blair will not be rotating through the forwardline too often.

It sounds as though Ellis is a chance to be chopped however

SC aside, he better not be.

Used the ball very well on Thurs night. Didn't see a lot of it, but that was to be expected. Have full confidence he will get better with each game.
