Decent article, lets hope he keeps the quality up if he is going to do more. Often journos put 10x the effort into the first article and the 50th article, so the quality sometimes drops. That one was very well done and I hope to see more as such.

Most players have ghost writers now days. My guess is Tim gave his opinion on the matter and some other guy writes the piece. The article is passed back to the player to approve or make changes were fit.
Normally that is how it goes.

I don't know much about him so I don't want to assume, however most of the articles by athletes that get published in the major prints are written by ghost writters.

I know for a fact Ben Cousins, Dermie, Samantha Lane & Michael Voss don't write their own articles and they are just the ones im 100% sure of.

Not saying he didn't write it, just saying if he did it's very impressive.

Boyle has written other articles for the Hawk Members magazine, including one on the Kokoda walk, which was excellent. I am pretty sure he writes his own stuff.
Aparently he also plays and composes music, so hopefully his skills can get him a good career post-footy.
I have spoken with him briefly at Hawk family days, he seems like a genuine quality bloke.

Sam Lane doesn't write her articles? Not surprised, but she's not even a player; why shouldn't her ghostwriter just be the one getting the attention? I suppose her ghostwriter may not have banged as many celebs as Sam.

Anyway, very well written from Tim and I hope he goes on to write some more compelling articles.

Sam Lane doesn't write her own articles? I know her father is a successful journo, but I doubt he has enough clout to have somebody else write an article and place her name on it. Guys like Ablett or Cousins may have help (or completely ghost-written) but I find it very hard to believe Lane doesn't write her own copy.

Clearly. Although one poster has described it as "fact" that she does not, even though she is a qualified journalist. Her father is one of the finer football journos, I'm sure she picked up even a little of his talents. I would love to know where the poster took his "facts" from.
