We don't care. He tried to pull a fast one on the club by ruling out Freo. It's not about family and obviously financially motivated thus Geelong will be hellbent on preventing his endgame to Eagles from being fulfilled. Which is fair enough
So if WC have a player who wants to return to Victoria, does he go to any one of the ten clubs that the club chooses based on what they can get? Or does he select his own preferred destination due to being out of contrsct? When has that ever happened?

So Scott demands 4 first rounders and Dustin Martin. Could he look even more like a flog?

A player out of contract, with a desire to return home for strong and legit family reasons, and he goes on tv to say that? Wow.

To me, that says that Kelly hasn’t decided yet and Scott is letting him know just how highly he values him. Scott wants him to stay, Kelly is on record tonight saying how much he loves the club. He still has a decision to make and Scott is letting him know what he thinks he’s worth. Nothing stopping Adam Simpson getting on there and saying how they’d love to trade for him, so long as Geelong agree to P13 and P22. Doesn’t quite have the same message as Scott’s though.

Not wanting to go to a club that has no coach, no ceo and a mid tier playing group is not pulling a fast one. He wants to go to WA, and has a choice of two clubs. He wants to go to the stronger one. I don't see why that doesnt make sense to GFC or it's supporters.

Or it is just Scott throwing another tantrum.

You're right. Makng thinly veined threats that TK will have to go to the draft doesn't quite have the same ring to it....

Ahh the name calling. Who was the “flog” last year offering left over scraps that cost you a crack at the title this year?? “wow”.

What trumps “flog”. I’m surprised he still speaks to WCE given you left him behind like the French in a World War all bc you needed that precious pick this year. You have almost destroyed his family with your greediness. Hope he pulls through this ordeal.

Well maybe he should wait until he's a free agent. He's an apprentice for crying out loud. He should be grateful to get to either club in his situation and yet rules out Freo

"Kelly cannot move as a free agent so he would need to be traded if he wants to get to his desired destination. If not, he would have to enter the national or pre-season draft, which would put him up for the highest bidder."

You totally dont understand the point.

Its ok for the big successful Vic clubs to attract talent and have top players nominate them.

But if a big successful club from WA gets nominated then something isnt right nor fair.

Thats the hypocracy being pointed out.

Nothing to do with what Tim is valued at, zero.......nadda.
Um. No. I havent not understood your point once and in the post you are referring too it was pretty obvious again to work out what you are saying. Its just again it makes no sense. There's no hypocracy. Very, very few players have actually nominated for a trade publicly after one year on a list. When drafted all have to agree they are prepared to go anywhere in Australia. Geelong was right to take the view that they could try and address the issues raised by Tim and his partner after West Cost refused what now seems like a pretty reasonable deal in hindsight. Hogan, Brad Hill, Wilson, Matera, Lobb, Cripps, Jetta, Ah Chee, Yeo and Kennedy just some of the players who have done the same thing from clubs around Australia with examples of plenty of Melbourne based clubs trading players back to Perth in that list. No one is saying those requests were unfair but the clubs involved still had to agree on terms for the trade to happen. That is all anyone is saying here. Not sure why you think you are so entitled to get him. He hasnt even publicly nominated his preference yet and if West Cost cant meet the Geelong requests then they have every right to see if Kelly can be convinced to go to another team.

He is the one requesting the trade... It's up to him what he wants. When he makes that choice, Geelong should do the right thing and deal in good faith.

Last time I was this proud of my club and Chris Scott we won a flag. Scott has already ruled out trading, West Coast literally have no currency we have absolutely nothing to gain from trading him. Geelong keep trying to make it clear as possible they aren't trading. It's Tim Kelly and West Coast that keep bugging us about it.

As a non free agent it's up to him whether he wants to give another 6 years to Geelong and become an eligible free agent. Or get drafted by Gold Coast.

That's all there is to it

So you are saying you want to keep a player on your list who no longer wants to be at your club?

And this makes you proud of your club?

Like other clubs did with Ablett & Dangerfield, you mean?.....Not on your life.....That's not the done thing down the self-entitled Corio Way.

Maybe Scott has had a gutfull of WCE manipulating the very same family circumstances referenced 4000 times as a humanitarian crisis that the UN needs to intervene on by offering up 14 & 25 or whatever and saying “but it’s all we have” .

Good on Scott. Pay fair price like the last 10 trades that have gone through. Not sure one single Geel fan cares what some entitled dirt farmers think on the west coast.

Why are you on here?? Seriously. What should we have paid for a 34 yr old. He’s played less than 40 games. A top 15 pick?? That trade was more than fair. Maybe should have nabbed Scully for pick 70 or Jon Patton for a coke. Players well into their 30s are worthless in trades. Maybe WCE would like Harry Taylor for pick 22.

West Coast don't have the currency. Geelong have just come out and said they won't be trading him to West Coast, and will stop it in anyway possible.

In laymans terms Geelong just confirmed if he wants to leave Freo will need to give their best currency. Or he will stay at Geelong/get drafted to Carlton. He won't be in an Eagles jumper next year after watching Chris Scott tonight.

Yes!!! We are doing our part by helping poor Tim back to his family in WA and we get proper value.

Geelong doing the right thing and we get proper value

That was posturing and nothing more.

Negotiations would be on going he is going to try and take a hard stance to drive up the price. If he wants to leave it will happen and it will not be throught the Draft.
