If it was an Eagles leak which we all know it isn't it wouldn't be leaked to a Vic paper. I know WA is behind the times but they have news agencies.
Usually the place to first look at in trade related leaks is the player's manager.

From a West Coast perspective we were very keen on Kelly but when Oscar Allen slid the club selected him probably thinking the fact that Kelly had 3 very young kids would be a huge flight risk for non WA clubs which has been the case.Good luck to Tim Kelly on his retun to WA, but this whole fiasco is the fault of the two WA clubs who were "smartarses" during the draft of 2017. Geelong picked him in good faith, they invested everything into him and gave him the chance to play AFL footy at the highest level that both West Coast and Freo failed to deliver. (5 times i might add) I find it strange that this announcement comes three days out from a final series though? Picks 17 and 23 will not get the deal done and Geelong will not budge on last year''s requirements of a top 10 pick. Somehow the Eagles will have to find a top 10 pick and another first rounder. Kelly is now AA and who knows what else comes his way in this finals series oreve a high Brownlow placing. his stocks have risen considerably. This will once again be a s**t fight now that he has declared the Dockers a rabble and West Coast cannot possibly make a deal unless they sacrifice a helluva lot more than 17 & 23! It will get ugly!
remove the 2020 pick and this becomes more realityI'll say it again and bookmark this
West Coast 2019 first round pick, Swans 2nd round 2019 pick, West Coast 2020 1st round pick and you can have Tim Kelly
Sorry but no, may Chuck our 2020 3rd round pick to you.remove the 2020 pick and this becomes more reality
Sorry but no, may Chuck our 2020 3rd round pick to you.
You may not like reality but that is massive overs already
In the end i hope Tim goes to Freo for free in the draft if Geelong show no heart again. Hopefully other clubs remember this after Adelaide helped Dangerfield to Geelong
14&22 will do if Tim chooses usLol helped Dangerfield to Geelong.... they were the first club to force a trade on a restricted free agent, hardly helped. That really isn't overs, you guys (due to your success) don't have very attractive picks, so you will need to use future picks.
Not sure petrucelle is the kind of player they'd be after given the age profile of their major contested ball winners.Petracelli + 1st rd pick. Could that be the deal?
14, 22, and a future 1st for Kelly, 32-36, and a future second is about the same as 14+22 on points value but I'd say fits what the cats would want to achieve14&22 will do if Tim chooses us
You may get Freo's pick for Chris Mayne if Tim names them
Otherwise he goes to Freo for free in the draft
Thankfully Wells doesn't have to negotiate with you and I expect WC to be a bit more pragmatic than you14&22 will do if Tim chooses us

That part is correct I think. Respective clubs likely worked out the details by JulyYou'll find that the Kelly deal will be done very quickly with little bluster.
If you guys land Kelly for essentially Chris Mayne (which is all B Hill cost) that would be a couple epic seasons of trades for Freo
Keep up hope
Can definitely see a pick or two going with Kelly if it's 14+22+F1st. It's slightly better than where negotiations finished probably reflecting a better offer to and a better season from Tim.Assuming we win this week and then get knocked out in week 2.
14 + 22 for Kelly. We may throw next years first in there too but we'd want a future second back.
We're in our window, I dont mind paying overs, he may help us win another flag next year.
future 2nd ok but future 1st is stuff dreams are made ofWhat if we chucked in our future 2nd pick?
Probably a little over but...
LOLHis body language says otherwise.
He can say whatever he wants in body language, you can't put body language in a clickbait headlineHis body language says otherwise.
What is it with hawks fans enjoy seeing Geelong suffer? You especially!Good stuff Timmy
May you have a successful career in the West
My thoughts excactly. Had crows just took the compo pick, it would of been based where they finished on the ladder. In the top 6 which was pick 13 or 14.No, but Geelong bent David Noble over a barrel with that deal.
Danger was worth 2 firsts. He was the best or 2nd best player in the competition.
It would be bad on both Tim Kelly and his Manager if they do that. West coast will pay unders. If I were Tim Kelly's manager I'd be threatening to walk him to the draft so that Geelong gets nothing. No Victorian team would risk picking him up if he issues a statement saying he's willing to sit out a year rather than play football outside WA. Freo could then grab him with pick 6 in the pre-season draft.
How fitting Geelong that should be unrewarded for selfishly keeping him away from home when West Coast made a perfectly reasonable offer for him last year.
Good football player, terrible liar. His body language says otherwise.
