Rooch lost all remaining credibility during his season long sack Primus, appoint Eade campaign.

Honestly the guy's process is no different to most BF trolls.

1. Make some shit up (22 + White to be signed off on Friday)
2. Wait for actual developments (Graham to Adelaide)
3. Make some more shit up by connecting actual developments to original bullshit (Graham and White coming in means Otten might be delisted!)

I put in an application for his job based on my Bay13 work.

I figure my work day wont be much different to what it is now, just have a more mainstream audience.

So your Average Joe will wake up tomorrow, read that crap by Rucci, and then start bagging the club again? If he still has a job by the end of next week, I will be shocked, what an incompetent bastard.

Didn't someone indicate that Crouch takes a draft pick and elevating Nutta would take another? Anyone with proper rules and reg knowledge shed light on that please?
No I dont believe Crouch counts in the draft. (Apparently Noble said he is, its in trading thread) Elevating Callinan will. We still have to use 2 picks. So now that we have aquired Graham , if we get White too, one player does have to get the chop - or traded. Maybe McKernan is heading home? That would explain the interest in White.
How much fun is all this rumour and innuendo? Swings and roundabouts... Same story but different story every day. I would like to thank the 5000 or so ppl who have contributed in this thread, entertaining me every day! :thumbsu:;)

Let me just put this in the old TANDY Computer and see what i can come up with;
<SNIP>

Well guys i mean it's a 30 year old computer but the facts don't lie.....I am a Crap Programmer.

ROFLMAO
Tandy TRS80 was the first computer I ever worked with.
If the TANDY says that, it MUST be right!

I wonder if this sudden tough talk has always been there behind closed doors or whether it's been caused by the public backlash and people like Plough saying it's a rip off...maybe they shat their pants at the thought of having to explain this to a furious Crows supporter base...and maybe someone is letting them know shitloads of angry emails are coming through...wish I knew
I have to admit the same thought did cross my mind!

This has been covered in another thread, but we're moving two to the veteran's list opening up two more spots. And something else is happening to, I'm pretty sure. I don't know, at this stage I'm sick of the whole saga and am secretly hoping a week-long blackout occurs and gives me an excuse to ignore this thread until after the trade goes through.

Suddenly all the pieces come together. Using FAITH as their "public barometer", they spread rumours of a deal we were considering to see just how badly the public would react. With the response overwhelming, the Crows are now able to come out and say "no that was only rumour, we were never going to do that" and move to a more popular position.

Brilliant PR work :thumbsu:

Why wouldnt we want Garlett? Can read the ball off the packs, is lightning quick (great for defensive pressure) and can kick a goal. I love callinan, but he wont be here for ever and doesnt have pace to burn.[/quote]

Totally agree. Garlett would be superb for our team!

If Rucci was going to get the sack for being a crap journalist, it would have happened a long, long time ago.

After listening to the Noble interview on 5aa earlier tonight, it certainly made me feel that the club was doing everything within its power to wheedle a half decent trade at least out of a reluctant Sydney - even to the point where they may end up threatening the PSD if necessary.

Like many others on this board, I'm definitely of the opinion that the trade for Angus Graham has ensured that Jesse White won't be coming to Adelaide, and that Rucci is reporting made up shit as usual.

Noble was very good at keeping his lips zipped, with one possible exception. When Cornesy mentioned that we were hearing that Parker might be in the mix for a trade to get pick 11 from Carlton to be used as part of the trade for Tippett, Noble said that they couldn't expect him to comment on that one way or the other.

He then added: Besides, it wouldn't be fair to the lad.

Now I might be reading something into nothing, but my immediate re-action to hearing that was that the unfair part would only apply if there was some potential deal going on with Parker. If there wasn't, then there was nothing that Noble could say that would be unfair to Parker.

Maybe I'm jumping at shadows, but after listening to Noble, IMO not only is Jesse White out of our calculations, there's every chance that we will get a sweetener with pick 23, and there's a good chance that Parker might be the player involved in getting that sweetener.

Still a week to go. :)

Hi guys,

Sorry for the intrusion. I've seen a few mentions of Horlin-Smith here. Is there any truth to what a few of you are saying, that he's a chance to be a Crow next week? There's been nothing reported in the Victorian media about it and us Cat supporters would be shattered to lose him when he looks set to become a regular next year.

Best of luck getting a fair trade for Tippett, hope your club stands its ground and demands two first rounders or something similar.
Nobody knows. Adelaide's trade team have kept their cards very close to their chest for the last 2 weeks.

I suspect it's 99% BigFooty chatter, with people getting excited about an ex-SA kid being BOG in the VFL Grand Final. I could be wrong and Adelaide could indeed be looking to sign him. He does seem to be flavour of the month on the Adelaide Board, but there is no linkage at all between what the Adelaide Board wants and what the Adelaide Football Club wants (or does).

Someone did post a rumour about GHS being sighted doing a medical at Kensington Park the other day, but how much trust you put in that sort of rumour is up to you.

You're mob have done well with trading & free agency so far, bringing in Caddy (from GC), Rivers (from Melbourne) and McIntosh (from North), for the loss of just Byrnes (to Melbourne). That means you've added two more players than you've lost. It's possible that Adelaide may see an opening here, offering GHS a position and allowing Geelong to ease their list pressure just a little bit. That said, I suspect that retirements of your veterans (not just Scarlett) will take care of most of your list pressure problems.

1. His AFL career was spluttering
2. An AFL club shows interest
3. This AFL club just happens to be in the city his girlfriend is originally from (not sure on his relationship status, but he's potentially got more family support there than any other draftee)
4. Going by the SANFL Grand Final he has mates in Adelaide
5. Even if he only played a few AFL games the standard of SANFL must surely be better the NEAFL (we'll find out in next years State League Game !) so he can build a solid career at a secondary level.

He was kissed on the proverbial and he knocks it back !

No wanting to gallop off on my high horse, c'mon it was a no brainer for Jesse, he wouldnt have knocked it back.
What Vader has said is quite possible. He has had a few nibbles from Melbourne clubs where he is likely to get senior games. One of his problems is his high salary for who he is.

I know his preference is Melbourne because his family has moved from the Gold Coast to there.

As a side note, his form in the 2's for the last part of the year was great. He rucked almost all of the last 5 games by himself (Seaby was injured). This is not something he would have been able to do a year ago.

That's what Noble said.

Don't get excited. It's just that the mechanism for getting the players onto the senior list is via the draft. They are our players and nobody else can select them and take them away from us. The selections used to draft them are by no means considered "live". They are "selected" using our last 2 selections in the draft. At what point these selections are made is completely irrelevant - if we were to trade away every pick in the 2nd round through to the 99th, we would be able to select them in the 100th and 101st round.

Note that there is no limit to the number of rounds in the draft. The number of rounds is determined by the number of list vacancies on the various team lists. The draft comes to an end when all list vacancies have been filled, or "passed" in order to leave a vacancy for use in the PSD. If one team needs to select 10 players, then the draft could go all the way to R10, even if R8-10 each consist of a solitary selection.

Make up your own mind after reading and listening to these two things.

The main thing is White is almost zero chance of coming to the AFC now. And any report suggesting the deal was done or is about to be done is a load of crap.

Shouldn't you be occupied ;)

You've missed Noble not saying much but giving us some hope they are still trying and we've got Graham as back up ruck for very little and likely no White.

And congrats.

He didn't knock it back, it's only some Sydney supporters and Vader who believes that.
What does it matter? At the end of the day, Graham is a brand new Crow and White isn't. Whether White rejected Adelaide, or Adelaide rejected White, or why A rejected B, really doesn't matter one iota. The end result is still the same.

Been occupied twice and ill have another crack!

Good lady wife needs a break!

Good that graham cost very little. Market price!

Angus Graham is a newly minted Adelaide Crow, signing a 2-year contract on minimum wages. He's our new SANFL based backup for Jacobs. It cost us an exchange of draft picks in the 40-50 range, which we were never going to use anyway (having only 2 list vacancies to work with).

Graham's signing pretty much killed off speculation about White being traded to Adelaide, unless your name is Michelangelo Rucci, in which case you're still living in a strange fantasyland where Adelaide trades for both Graham and White, being forced to trade out another player to make room for both of them. Some things just make no sense.
