No wonder the AFL don't want us to have an AFL team. They fear us! Launceston City! We exist to win premierships! (or whatever they are called in basketball)... unlike Port who exist to embarrass themselves and go 0-5 and 119!

Pretty embarrassing you don't know your home town's history really :$ Couldn't you just ask anyone that lives there?

Surely you see them all at family xmas get-togethers?
I have been locked in my grandparents attic all of my life!

How would I know about something that happened way before I was born in a boring sport that nobody cared about until the Jackjumpers came along and started beating everyone?? Maybe Launceston won in bowls or darts or some other sports that is also mostly played by ugly people!! It does not change the fact that we are the GOAT basketball team! They had to fold us because we were humiliating the league.

Launceston Casino City was the second of three NBL clubs who would use the Tigers moniker (INCORRECT). The Launceston Casino City was never the Tigers, the others being the Adelaide based Glenelg Tigers who played in 1979, and the Melbourne Tigers who played from 1984–2014 before becoming Melbourne United.
Great article. You know it's important when even Wikipedia doesn't tell you to fix it.

Wildcats entered in 1982 and Launceston never won another flag. Coincidence? I think not.
Not a coincidence, Wildcats cried and made the NBL fold Launceston so they didnt have any decent competition.
