Probably not, but if the club back themselves to push on into finals with an elite KPD added to the list(and they should) that F1 might be a late teens pick anyway. So it might be only a 4-5 pick downgrade to go from Hawks F1 to eagles F2

Alternative to pick 23 and 27 swap would be for swapping future 3rds knowing you will do better then is also. If Collingwood pick 27 takes off and is pick 30 odd may be too big a loss

Hawks 1st rounder + future 2nd + 27 + 71 for Barass + 23 + 59

Eagles drop down the order a tiny bit in both rounds. Pick 59 for us means nothing cos our last pick will hopefully be used for Malaki Champion anyway so thats a no loss situation for us

Pick 59 becoming 71 is absolutely nothing for us so all it would be is 1st rounder plus f2nd which feels about right

Why would the hawks trade away a first rounder for 29 year old when we arent in the premiership window? Makes no sense for that price. For a 3rd rounder and a player swap sure, but not a first rounder in a good draft.

Whilst a pick between 8-12 and a 2nd would be 'fair', WCE have no obligation to accept a 'fair' offer for a player contracted for another 3 years.

Yes Tom Barrass is contracted for another 3 years, but I don't believe that works in the Eagles favour, i reckon it does the opposite. I've said this before but the Eagles aren't playing finals anytime soon and with Tassie coming in the draft will be compromised, so i would think the new coach coming in would want to get the ball rolling with getting young talent in before this happens or risk keeping him there for another 3 years and get nothing for him.

Eagles will ask for 1st and a 2nd rounder but I doubt clubs will be willing to do that knowing that they will be keen to get him out to help with the rebuild.

That’s not the choice. He either leaves this season or stays til end of his career and signs a new deal at end of next year. This fantasy middle ground doesn’t exist.

Eagles could've walked Brockman to the PSD, I'm sure we will offer a fair deal.

I’d rather the pick 71 then Baker
