Imagine it will be

Hawks 1st rounder + future 2nd + 27 + 71 for Barass + 23 + 59

Eagles drop down the order a tiny bit in both rounds. Pick 59 for us means nothing cos our last pick will hopefully be used for Malaki Champion anyway so thats a no loss situation for us

Lock her in Eddie
im just being picky but I feel thats a touch unders for us.

Why would the hawks trade away a first rounder for 29 year old when we arent in the premiership window? Makes no sense for that price. For a 3rd rounder and a player swap sure, but not a first rounder in a good draft.

hawks would be mad to do that trade.
If you were not willing to offer a 1st rounder, Mitchell wouldn’t have got on the plane.

Happening regardless of anyone’s opinion that way.

Lol, I'm trying to think of the last time I saw someone THIS far off the mark on here.

Anyways, strangely feels like this one is full steam ahead. WC have decided they have to get more young talent in the door somehow. Will be interesting the further Hawks push up the ladder

Whilst a pick between 8-12 and a 2nd would be 'fair', WCE have no obligation to accept a 'fair' offer for a player contracted for another 3 years.

A first and second isn't overs, you clearly don't watch him play.
Yes Tom Barrass is contracted for another 3 years, but I don't believe that works in the Eagles favour, i reckon it does the opposite. I've said this before but the Eagles aren't playing finals anytime soon and with Tassie coming in the draft will be compromised, so i would think the new coach coming in would want to get the ball rolling with getting young talent in before this happens or risk keeping him there for another 3 years and get nothing for him.

Eagles will ask for 1st and a 2nd rounder but I doubt clubs will be willing to do that knowing that they will be keen to get him out to help with the rebuild.

How much more is Barrass worth over Liam Baker?

I guess it goes back to the working relationship clubs have with eachother.

The Eagles came to the party for Brockman last year, Hawks should at least offer a fair trade of their 1st+F2

That’s not the choice. He either leaves this season or stays til end of his career and signs a new deal at end of next year. This fantasy middle ground doesn’t exist.

Anybody checked the 1 on 1 key defender win % in the article released today?

Barrass has barely made the very long list in the article. Wasn’t expecting that for the 3rd best key defender in the AFL.

Eagles could've walked Brockman to the PSD, I'm sure we will offer a fair deal.

We've never been a club to go the route of Essendon and Geelong to play hard ball.
