All he needs to do is cut that bun off.

ironically, Ben Sinclair's form has improved in proportion to his hair length.

He is the bizarro Tom Langdon.

The moral of the story is, clearly the club should focus less on their training needs and more on their hairdressing.

Probably worth noting Langdon is only 21 for 43 games. Not bad for a bloke taken at #65. He played every game last year, he may need a rest. I'd like to see him bulk up slightly, listed at 190cm but 83 kegs. Add another 7-10 kilos and he'd be a monster, give him time to work up a tank and he'd run all day for the Pies.
Time will be the factor with Tom, stick with him, build up his confidence and make him a stronger player, mentally and physically.

Langdon is too slow and his foot skills are sub par. He has bulked up this year and seems to have got slower as a result. His biggest problem though is he over estimates his ability, zones off and then lacks the closing speed and flies for marks all the time, often leaving his man unopposed to clean up the crumbs.

I would send him back to the two's for a while.

And those new muscles must be painted on cause he still can't lay a tackle. Not that he's alone in that regard

Perhaps he is just out of form?

Have you seen our team? Leg speed is something we lack in general and we're not much better for footskills. He is still our best or second best general defender at the moment either way, we can't afford to have him in the two's

At moment, Reid, Brown, Williams, Sinclair, Ramsey and Frost are better defenders than him. There may be others, but I have just gone off the top of my head, and there is generally back 6 or 7.

I said general so that takes Reid, brown AMD frost out of it right away. After Fridays performance I think Marley might not be himself at the moment. Sinclair has played 1 good game and decent NAB ones. I do agree Ramsay is ahead right now

Langdon will still be the same player as he is today in 5 years time, the reason he was drafted so late is little scope for development.

He came in a ready made player, but the trade off is most other kids have much higher ceilings. Think Langdon will be a whipping boy long term

Langdon is a very slow player and you are suggesting he bulks up another 7-10 kgs. That should fix it. Nothing like gaining weight to help your speed and endurance. :thumbsu:

Even if he was, how does that translate to him being a fast player? You have seen him play right? or do you judge your opinions on draft combine times not what you see with your own eyeballs?
No I judge how fast people run on times, most people generally do but if you don't well I have no problem with that.

lol... yeah.. it's athletics track and field events we're talking about here!.. Unlike you I don't think I'm qualified to speak for "most people" but I would at least venture to say I would expect most people generally judge how fast an AFL player plays when he plays AFL games.. not when hes running a 50m sprint at a draft combine.. So tell me.. what times during any of Tom's AFL games did you clock him at?? over what distance?

He's had a very solid start to his career, seems durable but his foot skills are less than desirable, so he needs to fix that up.

Seems to be plateauing a bit, but needs to find another gear.

Doubtful. Look at nearly any player outside of Judd over the first 5 years of their career. He will get better. I think Langdon is about to get his wake up moment.
Soon he will remember the small things that made him a valuable player in his first and second year. Then with the benefit of experience he will improve again
