If he were to be traded, what would Hawthorn get in return?

  • Two good 1st round picks

  • Top 10 pick and change

  • A 1st & a 2nd

  • Later 1st round pick

  • Two 2nd rounders

  • Early 2nd rounder

  • Other 2nd round pick

  • Less than a 2nd rounder

Would the Hawks be interested in pick 15 a future 1st rounder and Jack Ross?
That's a woeful deal for us. Not a chance we're giving up 2 first rounders let alone adding Ross. 15 alone would be the max offer I reckon.

I don't see a deal happening anyway.

Dees and Dogs will be happy if Port, Lions and Tigers don’t improve their midfields.

No pressure.
Ours will be automatically improved if half of the best ones don't miss massive chunks of the season again. Plus another pre season into RCD, Ross, Dow and Martyn.

Don't get me wrong I'm in favor of getting Mitchell but I just don't see a deal being struck that will satisfy the hawks especially when for it to be any chance at all you'd have to pay a fair chunk of his wage to fit him in. I just can't see it.

The only scenario would be if Hawks get desperate (not likely) close to the deadline and have no other takers for the other 3 or 4 blokes and we offer picks 26 and 28. Not great picks in isolation but bundled together they could be worth a mid to late 1st rounder with some massaging. Picks 5, 21, 24, 26 and 28 plus say 41 or 34 at a stretch for Ceglar is a great draft hand for a rebuild.

Clubs need to decide if they are going for flags or if they are going to haggle about draft picks 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think we are in a position where we have a foot in both camps. Its why Pick 7 is most likely off the cards, but Pick 15 for me, should be up fro grabs for either Mitchell or JOM. JOM probably more the type we need, but Mitchell is so durable which is what really cost us last season, constant injuries. We'd probably need some help with the salary cap in 2022, but we only have 14 players contracted after that, so should be able to deal with the salaries after that (we have a year to figure out how to balance the cap from then on).

To Hawks fans, if you were Richmond, which player would you target, Mitchell or JOM? Which would benefit us more?

I think Tom would be by the sheer amount of times he could get the ball in his hands and give it to Martin, Bolton, Short, Lambert, Edwards, etc.

Package deal for both

Future first would be a late ish teen pick so maybe a 13-14-15.

Two late firsts for Titch + a little bit of salary is def fair.

When you put it like that. Maybe. Prefer to hit the draft myself. I don't think Richmond has any room in their cap to afford what Mitchell would be asking for.
