Apologies for the interjection, I have a few commercial interests in Werribee and have been a club sponsor for 10+ years. Often see Micky B getting about in the club liveried Commo wagon and I think we can all agree Mark Penaluna is a great guy and even better operator.

However the area itself, despite it's natural beauty is full of so many crooks, scumbags and dirtbags its not funny. Not everyone is bad, there are lots of awesome people but it would have to be one of the worst places going around.

Yeah that's true. It depends where you live too I suppose. I've worked in social services in the area for years and it can also get a bad wrap. It's no different to what's happening in the eastern suburbs atm

It’s his toughness that made a huge impression on me when the season started - I couldn’t believe how much punishment he absorbed.
The question, is can his body get through the remainder of the season, given he’s spent more time in the middle this year than the last few, when Hawks were blooding other mids.
 
Sounds to me that if we want Mitchell to harden up (as suggested to him by Fly), he could do no worse than relocate to Werribee for the rest of the season. Force him to spend his nights in the bars of the major pubs with just a lemon squash in his hand, wearing an 'I hate' or 'Down with the Werribee Tigers' windcheater.

We want him to toughen up, not to be drawn and quartered (I presume they have horses down there).

Not quite. Our season is a big result v Brisbane away from being back on track which I can still believe in despite not seeing the how as we stand.

Mitchell’s issues though are much deeper and the Hanneberyesque drop in his game is probably our biggest problem because he was such a driver of our strong early season form. We can’t win it all if we’re going to continually lose the territory game and I don’t see how we win the territory game ATM…

Mark wasn't a bad footballer at port colts a long time ago. he had a long blonde mullet.

Werribee used to be full of would be market garden gangsters who loved to play up at the Commercial. As it grown its gone downhill.

I’m not really someone that focuses on other teams form leading up to matches against us. There’s been to many examples of teams rising from the dead over the past 18 months for me to buy into that narrative. My focus is squarely on Collingwood and we’ve played 2 quarters of premiership footy in the past month and look beaten up. Find two more v Brisbane sew up top 2 and things will settle. Until then the posters doing their best to put out spotfires of anxiety are going to get worn out.

Only 1 clearance against the Hawks. Unfortunately this time Adams was no better. With Nick and Sidey out I don't see us making a change here, but we have to be looking at options.
