Strange year, started in AA form, then was terrible, then ended up brilliant again in the grand final.

Maybe rumours of an intensive training block turned out to be correct

Was it a dip in form or were we managing him? Less game time and subbed a few times. When he was on the field I didn’t think he was terrible during that patch.

Absolutely massive today, should’ve been 2nd in Norm Smith. I think he was robbed of a few possessions by the stats guys because when I looked at disposals at half time I was expecting him to be our highest with how often he was involved at stoppage.

Looked battered and bruised at about round 19. He had bruises all over his legs and just couldnt run. We kept subbing him off, however he got fresh for the finals after only playing 2 games in four weeks and got back to his good form. Was a real Luke Ball story for us.

Tom was awesome today. What seems to be getting overlooked is his game high 13 tackles. He tackled Brisbane stoppages into the ground. That is the equal 6th highest tackles in a GF, equaling himself from 2015 GF.

With Tay Adams out Mitch had to come to the party and he certainly did!

I'll state it here but yeah.

Went to the final as a neutral against Freo and ended up being super happy watching Collingwood, had a bunch of good lads around me too, awesome team to watch and a bunch of likeable characters. Fly, Pendles, Crisp, Moore, Nicky D etc etc so many.

After that i was honestly very happy to say that i liked them as a team and a club and that they'd probably be top 5 favourites for me.

As a big Tom Mitchell fan, both on field when i fell in love with his game in 2018 (17) but also 16. But also off-field with the way he carries himself, his ball magnets stuff and just him as a bloke, couldn't be more happy for him to find a good home, he'll probably get 75-80% CBAs in '23 and i can see him being in brownlow contention, getting back to his absolute best.

And since then, i'm happy to say Collingwood are def a top 3 favourite team for me, alongside Freo & Brisbane.

Look after ol Titch for me
