Thought he would be average at best. His pace, skills and contests seamed below average. I was wrong. His skills a good and he contests the footy well. His pace still isn't great but who needs speed when you can spread like he does. Good player. If he keeps this up he could be great.

Ling has a crush on Phillips. A man who knows what hard work is. Phillips was fantastic tonight and is quietly developing into a really effective player. His efforts drag us out of some dire situations and launch us into some momentum swingers.
 
He is getting quite good and quite consistently good now,he would polling well in the copeland I think.He was looking good towards the end of last season but his form is really reaching a high level of play and becoming an important player for us.

I am not sure how high his ceiling but he looks a bloody good pick for #58.

Happy to, I apologised a few weeks ago. He has been a revelation in the last month.

Still needs to get a bit harder, first goal was his. Sue to not contesting at half back. Building nicely

Goz, I always reserved judgement on you, and I hope there’s still room on the bandwagon even tho it’s already moving
 
My only concern was his kicking, which was atrocious at times.

But anyone who can get over 30 possessions and outrun Rusty has a lot going for him.

Has tidied up his disposal to the point that he's now a really good contributor.
 
I’m pretty sure Knightmare rated Phillips in his draft year, and he was very pleased when we got him.
 
Nothing to apologise for but will say he has exceeded my expectations, always thought that he had a place in the modern game.

When is his contract up? He may become even more valuable if they reduce rotation numbers.
