so what happens if you didnt have field ticked on the last leg?do u get a refund?it seems unfair if you have something one out you dont get a partial refund cause the race wasnnt run

my guess is they will have it on next week

Why was it abandoned?

As the dogs were being loaded, evens went in first - no probs. Then when the odd numbers were loaded, the handler of dog no 5 stood up and grabbed the release handle by mistake. All of the dogs ran a lap and were caught in the catching pen.

You should have seen the look on the blokes face when the lids accidentally flew open. Classic stuff. What a dick-head

You only need any number to claim the quaddie. If you had 5 runners, for instance, you get the quaddie 5 times

In a remarkable turn of events, stewards declared the 2007 Group 1 Radio Sport 927 Sandown Cup a ‘no race’ after the starting boxes opened prematurely causing the field to gallop from the 715 metre start to the catching pen area.

Acting on their own observations and viewing the relevant video footage, stewards established that the boxes had opened prematurely due to the inadvertent activation of the trip manual starting lever by the trainer of one of the Cup finalists. Stewards determined that the incident was purely accidental, with no intent involved.

Based on the Greyhound Rules of Racing, stewards confirmed the race will not be re-run, and that the $86,000 prizemoney would be distributed evenly among the eight finalists.
